The sorry senator, keeps saying he hasn't changed his position, he hasn't, he is pandering.
The day after the election next year he will be calling for "Comprehensive Immigration Reform," again.

"I got the message," he said to clapping. "We will secure the borders first and then go on to other issues."Like how to compell 20 million illegals to go home & get in line.

Last month, McCain was giving up our borders.

Amazing that McCain actually thought he could win the GOP nomination after co-authoring an amnesty bill with Ted Kennedy and an anti-free speech bill with Russ Feingold. Takes tone-deafness to a whole new level...

(Enter McCain platitude here: he is a great American because he suffered in Vietnam even though his political record in the Senate is worthless and he has screwed Republicans and voters for years. He cannot win any national election and he’s an arrogant SOB. Otherwise, God love him.)
McCain is trying to recapture the media support he had in the past. It’s not there for him now. McCain is wasting his time and supporters money.
What bothers me is either McCain is not paying attention or he is willing to screw the party once again. Either scenario is not good and prove how out of touch he really is.

Is it any wonder that with Rudy still doing well that McCain still thinks he has a chance. (Sancutary City) Rudy is just as bad.

It’s a bit late, after working so hard with Teddy Kennedy to give amnesty to every illegal who wants it. I didn’t notice him voting against the amnesty bill he sponsored.

Now, the Republican presidential candidate emphasizes securing the borders first. The rest, he says, is still needed but will have to come later. His real statement is first we fool them about the boarder security then we ram through amnesty. Then he and ted have another slug.

McCain's way too late to lead on this issue. The only top-tier candidate with any credibility on this issue is Fred Thompson. Here's a related post at

"I understand why you would call it a, quote, shift," McCain told reporters Saturday...
A 'quote, shift', Senator?
"I got the message," he said to clapping.
I don't think you have.
I've really been trying to lighten up on McCain but these statements somehow just make me mad again.
