Anyone hoping for a juicy U.S. Senate contest in 2010 - Schwarzenegger vs. Boxer - was likely disappointed in the governor's blunt answer when asked Friday if he would run for that job or for Los Angeles mayor.
"I have no interest in either," Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger told the annual meeting of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group in San Jose. He said the talk was a ploy from the camp of Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer to whip up fundraising interest. He joked about it, saying he didn't mind the speculation "if it makes Barbara Boxer happy to talk about this. . . . 'Oh, that's Schwarzeschnitzel, he's after me! I've got to raise a lot of money!' "
During a 30-minute question-and-answer session in front of the crowd of about 1,400, the governor also suggested he was willing to negotiate on a key part of the health reform plan that has been mired in months-long debate in Sacramento.

Imagine dat.
Maybe he’s supporting her over the next sacrificial Republican.
Any chance McClintock or Simon will run for it?
If only, If only.
The pay is a hell of lot better, and he will have less stress.
No ! Doncha know RINOs are soooooooooooo loyal to our party’s cause ?
Oh, wait... yeah... Ah-nold, 8th most influential liberal in the U.S.
Nevermind.
Naah. At the rate we’re going, we’ll be running a busboy from Torrance for the Senate.
I hope so..........here's to Terminator 4!!
Yes, because we’re just dying to see him in the sequel to “Twins.”
Boxer must be relieved that she will not have challenge in the primary.
That's at the heart of the Austrian's posture. He most likely couldn't survive either the Democrat or Republican primary. He'd have to run as an Independent. As an Independent, his historic political hi jinx would be used to crucify him from both sides.
They will not beat her. McClintock should run for governor next time. If Villar or Newsom get the nomination, he should win. He did nearly win Lt. Gov. I was pulling for him.
I'm hoping this damn socialist goes back to Austria.
Regards
