There is nothing wrong with aging gracefully.

I completely agree with that.

Speaking of which, I am watching George HW Bush. He is a very appealing man. Intelligent. Thoughtful.

Wasn't that a great FNS segment? Excellent to see GHWB look so good, and speak so well.

I STILL don't know how he can be ANYWHERE NEAR x42 and not require some form of sterilization procedure to survive. YUCK

Russert did the same thing with his UFO question to Kucinich. He knew pretty much how Kucinich would respond, i.e., he couldn't deny the fact that he had said that he saw a UFO. Not that it was needed, but Kucinich has pretty much been branded as a kook and no one can now watch him without hearing Twilight Zone music in the background. Russert and the Dems are hoping that Fred's weight loss will be viewed subliminally as "this man is sick."

Denationalization and outsourcing of government contracts continued under Blair sometimes to an extent that even me as a Conservative was alarmed at what was sold off and contracted out.

Also home ownership increased to the point where not to own your own home is now rare especially amongst younger people. In our company of about 30 people I only know of one or 2 people that do not live in a home they own and that is by no means unique.

What Conservative should really be watching is where McCain's voters go. He is out of money and almost out of time. When he finally caves, where his supporters go will be crucial. \

McCain is a resume candidate. Lots of old Conservative love him for his military service. The assumption that they will automatically transfer their allegiance to Rudy is an unwarranted assumption on the part of the Republican Establishment.

Where McCains supporters go when they finally wise up to the fact that he is the "Candidate to No Where" will be critical to who wins the Republican nod.

I think he looks great. Very calming with a good sense of humor thrown in.

Indeed and I personally think in 2007 a politician needs this, Blair had this in 1997 and swep the Labour Party to power in Britain on it.

His delivery is what concerns me he may well be the best candidate with the best ideas and policies but is he going to be able to convince the American people who only vote once in 4 years of this.

Wallace is taking a tour of the library with 41 and talking about what it’s like being in the Oval Office. This is something that would be unwise to do with the Bent One.

Perception is reality. Just because it isn’t so isn’t going to stop Tim Russert from making gunk up to score some cheap political points.

Fred is pacing himself. When it’s down to just him and Rudy, he’ll pour it on.

I think Fred is doing a terrific job; he is not letting Russert interrupt him. He is in compete control and I’m impressed with his answers, his maturity, his calmness, and his presentation.

Which of course can also be a very clever spin tactic. Personally I am against it but I do not have to really get into disagreeing over it because I push it off as a State’s issue.

The Conservatives love the comment because he is anti abortion and pro States right.

The more liberal Republications and undecided are not that concerned even if they wish abortion to remain readily available because they realise even if it did go back to a State right issue that the majority of the States would still vote for it to remain on the statute book.
