Hey "Clara" what part of post # 312 don't you get? Here is what snugs said:

This is getting silly.I do hope that all I want is for the best person to win who can beat Hillary....

Pretty easy to understand for most people here.

While we are on the subject on buying the MSM line on things as you believe I am on Thompson what about you and GWB as regarding delivering speeches etc..

The difference is that I am basing my opinions on firsthand observations. I have seen plenty of Bush's speeches, interviews, debates, and press conferences. He has become much better reading prepared speeches [which are generally better written than Clinton's], but he does have a more difficult time expressing himself extemperaneously. Just watch a joint press conference between Blair and Bush. I think the Briitish political system does a better job of honing those skills.

Most US crowds respond to any US President, especially those who are in their camp politically.

You may think they had a field day with Cheney and his health but it gained them no traction. It never became more then a 1 paragraph, 1 day story whenever they ran anything about his health.

I don’t think the Reps will nominate a “lightweight” as VP in 2008. This election is too critical.

Reminds me of an old saying..... “After awhile you realize all you get wrestling with a pig is dirty, and the pig enjoys it.”

With that tid-bit of BS I’ll get off and go away quietly.

what did Bhutto have to say? Was she condemning the move, being neutral or being supportive?

I found the reaction of the Indian government interesting, merely expressing regret at the troubles Pakistan is facing, no harsh rhetoric or negative statements about the move, but a simple wish for things to get back on track for democracy.

Anyone who truly wants to end abortion in this country should be whooping and hollering about Fred’s performance this morning. He’s showing you the path, you just have to be clever enough to follow.

Let’s restore abortion policy to the political process. Once that’s done make the humane case for the unborn state by state in the legislatures and on the campaign trail. In the process, avoid any suggestion that your morality compels you to treat young women in difficult circumstances as serious criminals. Ending abortion will involve changing many hearts and you can’t do that if you portray yourself as viciously censorious.

Anyone who tries to claim that abortion should be criminalized as a form of manslaughter is hurting the pro-life cause. Most Americans, even in the reddest states, if forced to choose between abortion on demand and a strict regime of criminal penalties for anyone who has or performs an abortion at any stage of pregnancy, will opt for the former. Whenever the abortion debate becomes a battle of the extremes, we lose. We can’t let it be that kind of battle.

Listen to Fred; follow Fred; on abortion and on nearly every other issue he is far and away our best hope.

Is that the guy who was almost CRYING in that clip shown where the State Dept official wanted to know who would care for their children if the officials were hurt or killed?

I have NEVER seen anyone whine like this man did. How embarrassing it must have been for his family.

A real diplomat would have voiced his concerns privately rather than putting on that public display.

I am referring mainly to a couple of interviews in which he did not enthuse me. His views were solid enough but he seemed to mumble and visually he did not seem the media type product that is needed in modern elections.

We'll agree to disagree. Using your logic, Bush 41 and 43 were not electable. Americans have different perceptions and views about what they want in their leaders. We saw the "media product" known as Bill Clinton. We discovered that he was all hat and no cattle.
