Cops offer to search children's bedrooms (Parents' OK needed under new TPD anti-gang effort)
Arizona Daily Star ^ | Dale Quinn and Josh Brodesky

The long arm of the law knows no limits — especially when it comes to searching through the belongings of Tucson's troubled youths.

With the consent of parents, the Tucson Police Department's newly-formed gang-outreach unit is searching the rooms of kids in the program.

The searches, police and City Council members say, are meant to be educational, showing concerned parents signs of gang activity.

But they've raised the eyebrows of several neighborhood leaders, who view the searches as intrusive and heavy-handed — particularly since the gang unit deals with kids as young as 8 years old and the searches could lead to arrests.

"The ‘Escape From New York’ prison model looks better all the time."

I envision all of Islam like that. Fence 'em all in and see how long it takes until there is no one left there to take the census. The only thing the world has not tried to eliminate terrorism is to quarantine the whole nest.

Deep down in your hearts you know that's the only solution for eradicating terrorism from the civilized world. Let 'em export oil and sandbags for survival.

And yes, I'd be in favor of exiling all incorrigible thugs, bullies, murderers, rapists, etc., along with all maximum prison populations to a designated walled city and let them create their own pecking order.

Supply them with all the hand guns, rifles and shot guns they want. Air drop needed supplies, you wouldn't have to do that very long.

I googled neighborhood leaders & have a list of things you have to do. Or better yet I suggest you make up all of your own rules etc. I wouldn’t want any part of of it myself. I will stay in the bus stop mom group, way easier.

Why don’t the Officers try going after the Drug Dealers and Kingpins? You don’t always need a search warrant and a big investigation to shut down sales of drugs..

All you need is a few dozen old Motor Homes, BBQ Grills, Portable Picnic Tables and a few of those plastic chairs.

Paint across the Motor Homes sides front and back
“Police Department” in letters that are 18inches tall with bright florescent paint.

Now go out and deputize a few thousand citizens. Have a reserve officer and 2-3 Posse members man each Post 24/7

Don’t say diddley to the Drug Dealers just watch.. You are not harassing them or violating anyones civil liberties.
Put out out the Picnic table when the weather permits and play card or monopoly. Each player in a Level III vest, helmet and a M4 or shotgun beside them.

You can openly note anyone who stops by.. Just Gather Intelligence.. If you can.. I suspect the drug house will not be open for very long..

Each time they move you follow or you stay there while someone else sets up at their next location. The purpose is to drive them crazy. By not interacting with them directly you make it terribly difficult for them to bring any legal actions against you while increasingly shutting down their criminal enterprise.

Once they start shooting at the Police Motor homes because they cannot do business you can kill them if possible or capture them if you are unlucky.

There is a place for undercover operations and warrants..doing the above will just be the anvil you can use to force them into making mistakes and misjudgments.

Oh and seriously concurrently I would work to secure a few old Supermarkets (Large Buildings) and turn them into “Rehab Facilities” where addicted persons could go for help. Get them on Government provided drugs to further strip the Dealers of their customer base. Those with
addictions like Meth would have to remain at the facility while high.. Those like heroin addicts on Methadone could leave the facility under certain conditions as is done now.

Drive them crazy and take their initiative. Get inside the enemies decision making cycle and stay there..

It really is a lot easier done then said.. All that is needed is the will.

W

As I understand “Neighborhood Leader”, it is an unpaid, self-appointivve position that one promotes oneself to, after successfully working as “Block Busy-Body” for a number of years.

Who the hell would defend that under the guise of "children's privacy"?

ummmm... the ACLU?

Sorry, I had to say that because you know it's gonna happen just that way.

I abhor the ACLU, believe they should be broken up under RICO and get what they may in fines levied against their assets and maybe even a stay in the Gray-Bar Motel.

street address is 1 Park Drive

If you were a real neighborhood leader, you would demand 2 parks in every driveway.

Better go back and re-read Neighborhood Power.

Hi Tax-Chick,

My apologies, wasn't implying that you had that idea! I just know too many parents who turn a blind eye and make every excuse so they don't have to deal with what's really going on. It just burns me up!

And I didn't think you were. I homeschool, so I'm with all my children almost all the time. Don't know when they'd have time for gang involvement! However, if I thought one were involved in something illegal, I wouldn't hesitate to ask my neighbor, the Deputy Sheriff, to help me look for evidence.

I'm more concerned with the park that's directly across the street from my house. Every year about this time my yard gets neck deep in leaves from all the trees in that park. As neighborhood leader I would advocate the cutting down of all the damn'd trees there.

Wouldn't that rile all the tree huggers?

I know I'm being like the people who move to near an air port and then complain about the noise but I'm an old man and I don't care.

Did they miss the part about parental consent?

As long as the consent is freely given, without duress or trickery. E.g., "Hi Mrs Thug, we're the Police. You don't mind if we search your son's room, do you?". "Hello, thug mom, we need your signature on this perpetual consent form before we'll be interested in letting your son out on bail"

Hey, you're serious about that, aren't you?

Who knows. Maybe if things get bad enough, something like that would have to be in the works.

I've always been pro-death penalty, but can respect other opinions on the topic. This is my alternative offered to those rabidly against it. Never gets a taker, though.

I believe in redemption, but I also believe that the redemption is between the individual and God once a certain line has been crossed. Maybe some of them will find God on that barren rock.

"I've always been pro-death penalty, . . . "

We're all going to die anyway. Why let some make it shitty for the rest of us while were here? Send them on to their reward. Life didn't start here and doesn't end here. Earth isn't death row for the innocent, in spite of the efforts of the muzzies and the bullies to turn it into one.

Somebody has got to throw the switch on the capitol offenders, and I wouldn't ask anyone to do something I wouldn't do for myself, so I guess that makes me pro-death penalty too. And I'm pro-liberty and pro-freedom, so that makes me pro-military as well.

And I'm for all the innocents having the ability and the means to defend themselves when and where they are threatened, so that makes me pro-carry to boot! And I'm for hiring and training some folks to protect those who can't protect themselves, so I'm pro-cop too.

"I believe in redemption, but I also believe that the redemption is between the individual and God once a certain line has been crossed. Maybe some of them will find God on that barren rock"

Yes, Cain was a murderer too, and was banished from the civilized world. Perhaps some will find redemption in the 'wilderness.'
