Mondale Endorses (Hillary) Clinton for President
Google/AP ^ | 11-02-07 | Google News

Posted on 11/04/2007 1:53:11 PM PST by tcrlaf

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Former Vice President Walter Mondale is endorsing Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton for president, the Clinton campaign announced Sunday.

"America is ready for change, and Hillary Clinton has the strength and experience to deliver it," Mondale said in a statement released by the campaign. "Hillary is uniquely qualified to rebuild America's standing in the world and lead this nation from her first day in the White House."

Mondale, a former U.S. senator from Minnesota, was vice president from 1977 to 1981 under President Carter. He was the Democratic nominee for president in 1984, but lost to Ronald Reagan in the general election.

Mondale also was U.S. Ambassador to Japan from 1993 to 1996.

Clinton, D-N.Y., said she was "deeply honored" to have Mondale's support.

The Republican National Committee noted with glee that it was her second endorsement by a failed Democratic presidential nominee. The other endorsement came from George McGovern, the 1972 nominee who was soundly defeated in the general election by Richard Nixon.

"Hillary Clinton's endorsement from yet another failed Democrat presidential candidate underscores concerns the American people will have with her own candidacy," said RNC spokesman Danny Diaz.

Well if Mondale did endorse her, we may as well give up. We CAN’T win. Drats she would have to bring in the heavy hitters this soon. But then again.........

McGovern, Mondale, Dukakis, Gore, Kerry.....

The Rat nominee loser list is long, and will get another addition next year.

Just a trip down memory lane. A member of one failed administration endorses another potential failed administration.

I wonder if Mondale initiated the endorsement on his own ... or only gave it after Hillary! sent him copies of the Oval Office security camera footage taken of Bill and his daughter.

I don’t think a Mondale endorsement will affect the outcome, but it’s an indication of the level of organization in the Hilllary campaign. They probably had his endorsement wrapped up long ago, paid for by some political promise benefiting Mondale, but they saved it for a moment of need. They’re probably saving even more important endorsements for when the Peter Paul stuff hits the fan.

Has Bill given her his endorsement or is he too busy “endorsing” bimbos? See, as long as she has the endorsement of the last Dhimmicrat winner, she can point to that instead of the string of Dimcrat losers who are endorsing her. So, what will it take to get Bill to endorse her? I mean, convincingly?

Really, does anyone base their vote on someone out of the past, who a lot of people don’t even know? This guy was VP back in the 70’s, to a president who may have been the worst president in our memory, who cares what he thinks.

I have a poor memory. I bet that election was a squeaker.

All this talk about change...change to WHAT?

Do we want to change the economy? Do we want to change that we haven’t been terrorized here again? Do we want to change that we are winning the war?

What a bunch of B.S.

The only things I really want to change -like the invasion of illegals or the downgrading of our culture - aren’t gonna be improved by Her Royal Clinton.

"Clinton, D-N.Y., said she was "deeply honored" to have Mondale's support."

I thought maybe it was this Mondale:

but then realized that it was Hill's hubby who got her end...er, I mean endorsement.

She was the one who was with Bill when Monica came calling. I believe Monica had a temper tantrum when she heard about it. I remember it being mentioned in the Starr Report.

They probably assumed it's a pic of Herself calming the waters, and it never occurred to them that anyone might make any other association.

(I'm not at all sure that I'm kidding.)

How did two people that ugly come up with a hot daughter like Elenor. Then again she has enough ugly on the inside to make up for her outside looks.

From AP:

The New York senator accepted the endorsement of former Vice President Walter “Fritz” Mondale, who won the party’s presidential nomination in 1984.

“Fritz and I were just talking about what it’s like to be leading and I’m very grateful to be earning the support of a lot of people around the country,” said Clinton.

BWHAAAA. Maybe this time next year you and Fritz can talk about what it’s like to have been leading only to get killed in the general election.

I thought he was dead, too. None of them ever die, though. Why is that? Can evil actually make a person live longer? Perhaps there is an evil gene that all liberals possess, and this is what keeps them living...on..and on..and frickin’ on...
