I’m sorry DJ, we’ll just have to disagree. A have a broad view of McCain, and try to take that of all the candidates. I have weighed many competing considerations (including history) and I have come to the conclusion that McCain is the best. I dismiss out of hand arguments based on emotion (RINO, disloyal, MSM-friendly: McCain has been a Republican longer than Rudy or Romney and consistent; and I don’t necessarily see it bad the some media are captivated by McCain [that can help us]). There are many things I did not bring up: McCain is the only of the top four who polls consistently even among men and women. Giuliani, Fred, or Romney leave open the danger of mass female defection. This is how I feel.
I’m sorry, too. I make a point of trying to get a broad view of a person. No candidate is necessarily perfect, but when they exhibit flaws all over the map, they lose my support. It’s not emotional, it’s the reality. I don’t trust McCain, and that’s all there is.
