I suppose you would do background checks on everyone who contributed and or raised money and helped in anyway with a campaign. In the first place would be cost, and the second everyone would have to sign a consent to be checked, probably cost more money than raised. Good old saying “put brain in gear before inserting foot”.

Wrong! But, I would certainly have a back ground check on those people that are closely attached to my campaign.
