WASHINGTON -- Rekindling a scandal Sen. David Vitter hoped had faded, the attorney for the "D.C. Madam" asked Friday for a subpoena to force the Louisiana Republican to testify about his involvement in what prosecutors say was a high-priced prostitution ring. Montgomery Sibley said he had asked the clerk of the U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., to issue a subpoena to Vitter to testify at a Nov. 28 hearing that could spill salacious details of the scandal that has captivated the nation's capital for more than a year.

It just adds to all the incompetence and corruption we have in Louisiana. From William Jefferson to David Vitter, each is an embarrassment to the state.

He went to a hooker. Big deal. It was dumb, but that’s about it. He wasn’t taking payoffs like Jeff and he didn’t rape anyone like Slick.

As I understand it. Purchasing the services of a prostitute is against the law.

For the same reason that William Jefferson and William Jefferson Clinton have never been arrested. They are all above the law.

The hooker (or at least the madam) is being prosecuted for violating a federal law, passed by Congress. If Vitter thinks going to prostitutes is no big deal, he should be voting to repeal that law.

Republicans get arrested for spitting on the sidewalk. Democrats get promoted for high treason and murder.

Vitter has a young wife at home and four daughters and ran on a platform based on Family Values.

However, instead of representing the people of Louisiana, supporting family values and honoring his family and marriage he is paying for the services of a prostitute.

And there are rumors in NOLA that David is into some unconventional things.

Finally, he is yet another embarrassment to the people of Louisiana.

The problem I have here is with selective prosecution. He ain't the only elected official to visit a prostitute, but he happened to be a Republican who allegedly visited one. Nothing but another Larry Flynt smear job.

I am not going to defend Vitter simply because he is my Republican Senator.

Y’know, I’d rather have a Republican who frequents prostitutes who votes the right way than a Democrat who is loyal to his (or her) spouse who f*cks us at every turn.

If David Vitter had kept his promise to his wife and people of Louisiana, Larry Flynt would not have any dirt on the Senator.

Naah, they’d just manufacture something. That’s the name of the game. Rodents are beneath the gutter.

So, just how much crime would you accept from a GOP Senator as long as he votes the way you like?

You do not need to manufacture things when Vitter is using the services of both the DC Madam and the Canal Street Madam.

They have proven they are incapable of embarrassment.

C’mon, that’s not a real crime. If you can’t tell the difference between what is alleged vs. what Jefferson did, I don’t know what to tell you.

If it is not a crime what is it?
