My personal gripe is about celebrating "Christmas" months before the actual date.

Yes, that is just as bad - maybe worse - than "Kwanzaa" and pagan death cult celebration around the date of our Savior's birth.

It's maybe worse because it's more prevalent, and is substituting another pagan cult (shopping) for the second most important Christian holiday.

No, the outrage is not missing. It’s thinly veiled by the dry humor. If I lived there, I’d plaster my house with red and green lights. Private property and all.

Well, this is definitely one for your list, as well as being not a ping.

Their not banning stop lights, just the red and green ones. The yellow will still be there to remind us to proceed with caution.

“What will be allowed are white lights and “secular” symbols not associated “with any particular holiday” such as icicles, unadorned greenery and snowflakes, the task force said.

Unadorned greenery? What color will it be? I thought green was one of the prohibited colors...

At an intersection? What a novel concept.

And here I thought yellow meant to speed up and hurry through the intersection before the light was red any significant amount of time.

LOL...most of the New Age sorts I know celebrate Christmas as a cultural holiday and enjoy giving gifts and seeing decorations and singing carols, both secular and traditional. They pretty much look over the explicit religious parts and give them no real heed, but celebrate the rest happily. Even for non-Christians, it’s cultural, just as Halloween is a cultural but not religious holiday to American Protestants.

Every left-wing idiot in Fort Collins probably volunteered to be on this “special committee”. Good Lord, these people are tedious.

Yet I’m sure they will take off Christmas Day as a holiday. Let them work instead.

When will these people realize that the “secular” is “law” We are not governed by Church Laws and each religion has it’s own.

We can celebrate a race related holiday, Kwanzaa
We can celebrate our sexual desires any day of the week while walking down main street and even infringe on a children’s holiday, Halloween.
We can celebrate another nation’s holiday, Cinco-de-Mayo.
We can celebrate another culture’s holiday, Day of the Dead.

Yet these people have trouble with Christmas?

My father-in-law envisioned a sort of vigilante group made up of terminally ill patriots who would clean out government by removing governmental @$$holes in a most prejudicial manner. And being they were terminal, there punishment would be severely truncated by nature.

Have thought of that myself, but the authorities may not allow them to die comfortably in peace. It would be a sort of Boston Tea Party with dead men (women) walking.

The difficult part would be getting to "wherever" without getting caught. They watch the citizens more closely than the non-citizens.
