MILWAUKEE -- A 32-year-old woman who tried to stop four men from beating her boyfriend early Monday morning was run over twice by a car, Milwaukee police said.
Police said a 35-year-old man was inside Indio's Tavern on South Cesar Chavez when four men began beating him with pool cues and beer bottles.
The attack spilled into the parking lot where the woman tried to intervene, according to police.
As the four drove off, they struck her with their car and then did a U-turn and ran over her a second time, police said.
Officers who arrived on the scene stopped the suspects' vehicle and arrested the four men.
Police said the man and woman are expected to live, but are in bad shape.
I think this is one of those big chrome flashlights that also serve as a night stick in some jurisdictions.
Glad you all cleared that up... I thought it might have been something suggestive...
My interpretation is that a non-Hispanic went in to get a couple of beers to go and was attacked by the regulars. His girl friend was waiting outside and tried to help went he managed to get back outside.
Makes more sense. Thanks for the info.
This is a Hispanic/mexican/latino area of Milwaukee.
Not to be snooty - but Gringo is *not* a term of endearment to me — more like the N word.
We had a local taco joint that featured a “gringo taco” I asked where the other (deleted) tacos were listed. Got a blank look.
SAid, if your going to have a Gringo taco, don’t alos serve N() tacos
and so on. He knew exactly what I meant.
Haven’t gone back since.
