Pat Robertson endorses Giuliani
The Politico ^ | November 7, 2007 | Mike Allen

Posted on 11/07/2007 5:51:19 AM PST by rightwingintelligentsia

Pat Robertson, one of the nation's most influential Christian leaders, plans to endorse former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani today, the Politico has learned.

Giuliani has struggled to win support of social conservatives because of his moderate views on abortion and gay rights. But now he has one of the most resonant imprimaturs with Christian voters.

Sen. Sam Brownback (R-Kan.), meanwhile, plans to announce his surprise endorsement of former Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) for president on Wednesday, a campaign official told Politico.

The endorsement is to be announced in Dubuque, Iowa.

The alliance gives McCain — once a front-runner, now struggling — a crucial bridge to social conservatives, an important constituency that has remained suspicious of him despite his opposition to abortion.

Yes, that’s always been the dilemma for conservatives. We have no home other than the Republican Party.

Actually, I think now that the Constitution Party is the only home we have. I now see the Republican party as a mission field for conservative 'political missionaries.'

I mean, Ron Paul is the only major candidate who anyone in their right mind would believe will actually shrink and cut back our bloated, totalitarian government (to say nothing of the rest of his conservative worldview), and look at the vicious hate poured on him from within the Socialist, I mean, Republican party. To say nothing of the attempts to smear everyone who supports him as some kind of weirdo. (Some of his supporters are fringe types, but that's incidental to the fact that he's the only option for a consistent conservative in this race.)

Come on now ... they wouldn’t let Al Gore in the R party.

Why not? They let Arnold Shriver SchwarzenKennedy do it and he's pretty much implementing Hillary Care and Gore's enviro-wacko Global Warming regulation while destroying the GOP at the same time.

Rudy would be more of the same, except on a national level.

I sure do miss him:

Do we have a new school of Conservatism now? Did I miss something? I might have been sleepin', goofin' off, or just plane not payin' attention. I wish I had some money. I would run on a Old School Conservative ticket and I bet I could pound the rest of the stinkin' RINO Jackasses into the dirt like slimy little rats.

I rushed to defend Dobson because he was fighting for his principles. Robertson just sold out his principles and stabbed us in the back. So, I have absolutely no problem with attacking him as the Benedict Arnold that he is turning out to be. Surely we can judge Pat for endorsing someone who has for years fought against everything that we believe in. I simply have no more respect for Pat - he is a traitor.

Actually there is some debate in the academic community about whether Congress could at the same time remove the appelate jurisdiction of the Supreme Court and the original jurisdiction of the federal district courts. Many scholars believe that doing so would conflict with the clause that says that the Judicial power SHALL extend ...

Giuliani represents everything that we have been fighting in the Republican Party for the last 20 years. He is pro-abortion, pro-gay rights, pro-gun control, a little bit of a fascist, a serial adulterer and a jerk. I will never vote for him and if he is the Republican Nominee I will leave the Republican Party.

Thank you. You presented an interesting point of view.

You are right that Ron Paul holds consistent small government positions. However, I believe he is wrong on Iraq and his anti war views tend to marginalize him among a majority of Republicans. It seems to me he is running in the wrong party. Of course, the hard reality is that no other party has a chance of winning the presidency at this time.

Perhaps in the future a viable third party will emerge. I just don’t see that happening yet.

My letter for prayer on CBN....

I never thought I would ask this, but I just learned that Pat Roberston has endorsed for President , a candidate that is openly for GAY RIGHTS, and PRO ABORTION! PLEASE PRAY FOR HIM and for our country. We now have NO spiritual leaders, save Dr. Dobson and Chuck Colson that will stand for what is right in this land.
REMIND Pat Roberston what God did with a small few rocks and a sling shot, when in thepower of God!He is acting on sight, not faith at all!!!
SHAME ON HIM... Our family has lost respect for him big time.....

No surprise with Brownback. Whenever “comprehensive immigration reform” have been introduced in the senate during the past couple years, both McCain and Brownback have both voted in favor of it.

Well, I’m new here and hardly qualified but my feelings are the same. I will never— under any circumstances vote for a man who wants tax dollar funded abortions and sanctuary for illegal aliens. I haven’t watched that kook Robertson for 10 years since he had a vision of a tsunami in San Francisco. He is old and finished.

Cult name: Roman Catholicism

Founder: Emperor Constantine, organized in early 300's A.D.

Overview: The largest, most respected cult in the world. But God don't respect it. It centers around the worship of a pagan goddess which has been renamed Mary and a cracker god named Jesus.

Cult Tenets/Characteristics: See The Catholic "Church" is not Christian which is on this website. You may also go to our home page and peruse our section on Catholicism.

Nice source....not.

Please try again.
