Here are a few things Mike Huckabee has said about Immigration in the past. Though I do have some respect for some of Huckabee’s common sense, even on certain issues of immigration, the following illustrates some comments he has made and positions he has taken that are worth raising an eyebrow over.

He told the LULAC delegates that their presence in the state’s capital city was very important because Arkansas has one of the fastest growing Hispanic populations in the nation. ‘Your gathering is so very significant for our state,’ Huckabee said. ‘We are delighted to have you.’”

I totally agree. That is one of the reasons I would not vote for him. I will tell you there are many people out there who dop not know this fact.
It is high time our candidates start bringing up these things and getting the facts about each other out there.
I had to set my parents right on this fact because they didn’t know about Huckabee’s illegal pandering.

Duncan Hunter has the support of Hispanics in his district, was the only Republican who showed up for a Hispanic event in Florida, receiving a standing ovation.
Duncan Hunter has the high morals, and meets the all the standards revered by values voters everywhere.
Duncan Hunter’s appeal cuts across party lines. Conservatives are conservative, no matter which party they are registered with.
So the way to appeal across racial, party, and high moral values lines is to support Duncan Lee Hunter. It is as simple as that. :)
I am ready for it. It is time. No more double talk and hiding past records.

Hunter is a fine candidate who even had a chat here on FR, he just hasn’t caught on with the public in particular, I find his platform to be in agreement with my views, but I wil never have a chance to vote for the man in NC unless he wins the nomination.
And you are quite correct, Duncan does have an impeccable record.

I agree with you that the Huckster has never been seriously challenged or confronted with his pro-illegal, pro-amnesty and pro-open borders record as governor of Arkansas. He has been allowed to portray himself as being against amnesty/illegal aliens/open borders without ever having to seriously defend his pro illegal past.
Thompson going after his pro-illegal record on Monday is a good start. Tancredo for a time on his website had the Huckster featured under his "Amnesty Amnesia" section of his website, but has since taken it down.
It will be up to us to set people straight on the true Huckabee, until as such time as his rivals or major pundits will start nailing him on his pro-illegal past. I'm having the same problems with some friends of mine who are starting to like Huckabee. I have to set them straight, that his tough talk on immigration is BS, along with his nanny-statism and tax and spend mentality. I email them links and excerpts from several sources, citing the Hucksters words/actions and the links to those sources.

The State of Missouri has endorsed Duncan Hunter! I look for Arkansas to follow suit in short order.
Everyone who sees and hears Duncan Hunter speak is very impressed with his knowledge, his sincerity, his straighforwardness, and his solid solutions to the myriad of serious problems we face as a nation today.
If, as you say, Duncan Hunter stands for what you want in our next president, you support him financially NOW.
and you VOTE FOR HIM IN THE PRIMARIES, or else we will continue to get more of the same as we’ve had, or worse. Hunter can beat a Democrat candidate because Hunter is Hunter! :)
