I can sew too.
Burnt cookies is fix-able. If they look done in the oven, they will be over-done when you take them out.
Every December we make Mr.FF’s mom’s great-aunt’s “ice box cookies.” This has been a tradition in his family for decades so he asked his mom to give me the recipe. I should be flattered that he says I make them just like his mom— but they’re a real pain to make. Fortunately, he loves them so much that he helps when we make them... he’s in charge of the oven and if they come out burnt, it’s not MY fault!! It works very well for us.
It’s 1:30 pm here on the right coast if that helps ya.
**God bless the roasted chickens.**
My favorite is Pot Roast dinner, prepared in Microwave ... browned, tender, and cookes in 1 and 1/2 hours ... With the potatoes and carrots, etc.
Afternoon, Son.
Here is a fab pic from Michael Yon.

Howdy, all.
I believe that! Mr.FF is much better at the sewing machine than I could ever be. It came from even when he was young, if he wanted something fixed, he would open the sewing machine and have at it.
I HATE sewing.
“How are the clinton’s going to rule”.
What a question!!!!
Yeah....I fix a few of the burnt cookies -——by scraping the burnt stuff off the back....then the rest of the batch goes to the birds. Never fails. I gave up years ago. lol. Sound like you really have things figured out putting him in charge of the oven..lol. Very smart....
It is afternoon in Colorado.
I guess I could put up my John Elway screensaver and chug one. LOL!!!
Great ... let’s just send this case to the Ninth Circus and get it over with.
Wow...pot roast in the microwave? See..if I did that, the middle would be raw and the outside would be like rubber. Maybe it’s my appliances......yeah...that’s it...it’s my appliances.

Sewing Machine is one of the ONLY power tools that most men FEAR. Glad to see I’m not the only one.
It is interesting, tho, walking into a fabric store and have all the women look at me like ... “And just what are YOU doing in HERE!”
here...worky lurky
Hi HC!
That is a wonderful photo and the story made my day.
Okay... I still have to wait until at least noon local.
I have to have some standards or I may as well put on my wife beater T-shirt, sit on the front porch with a six pack and yell at all the kids walking to school.
We’ve been using a slow cooker. What a great time saving invention for modern, two wage earner families.
Well, he’s great at sewing but he knows NOTHING about fabric... so I guess he won’t have to turn in his MAN membership card.
Don’t forget to yell at the stray dogs too!
