A Hillary Clinton campaign aide outright rejected a report Thursday that the Democratic frontrunner did not leave a tip for a waitress at a restaurant in Iowa last week.
Clinton campaign spokesman Phil Singer told FOX News unequivocally that the campaign paid $157 for the meals it ate at the Maid-Rite diner near Boone, Iowa, and left a $100 tip. He said he doesn't know what happened after that.
Singer would not say if the campaign was demanding a retraction from National Public Radio, which issued the report stating that Clinton did not leave any gratuity, even though she later weaved the personal story of the working, single mother into her stump speeches on the campaign trail. The radio station also claimed in its reporting that the meal had been on the house.

I;m sure that if the bill was paid and a tip left that they would have a receipt. Do Democrat staffer is going to pay themselves for any amount.
It should be claimed as an expense and rules are you need a receipt.

How do you know it wasn't THE bill? Did Hillary insist on separate checks all around? A $157 tab as a coffee shop? Sure sounds like more than one table was involved to me.
I want a REPORTER to find out the FACTS.
The $100 was actually comprised of bundled tips from other diner patrons.

In the event that Hillary is telling the truth ( far fetched I know ) that is the only logical conclusion to the matter then.
The first damage-control spin was that they paid $100 for a $57 meal, and left a $43 tip. Then it became a $57 tip on a $43 meal.
Not it’s that they paid $157 on a $57 meal.
By tomorrow it will have been inflated to a $1000 tip that her heinous invensted for the waitress and turned into a cool $100,000.
