George W. Romney and Lenore Romney were for abortion even before it became a political issue after 1973.
Yes, they are a farce, but that’s all the sheeple know to follow. People are just not capable of thinking on their own as a result of decades of “dumbed” down “education”.
It could also be that Weyrich, et al, are honestly convinced as to Romney's conservatives beliefs.
As a matter of fact, that's really the most likely reason...
Well n00b, the liberal pukes are salivating for a third party run to drain off Conservative votes so you are doing your part, eh?
Weyrich is not that stupid as you portray him. There is something fishy under the frilly bows.
Where did I say Weyrich was stupid? How on earth did I portray him as such?
IF Weyrich has seen the facts of Romney’s liberalism and 35 year pro-choice stance, even Weyrich would know Romney has no conservative history. Add to that the faked transformation to pro-life just in time to fool some of the people (including me, for a while), and you have a clear picture. When you try to characterize Weyrich as ‘seeing’ what is not there, you open the door to doubt his intelligence. He ain’t that dumb, bub.
Has it occurred to you that, perhaps, you are the one who is not "seeing"?
I'm not saying you're wrong. But you might want to consider the possibility.
Maybe Weyrich is wrong. Optionally, maybe you are mistaken.
Teddy Roosevelt?
Well Bubba...it's folks like you that have taken up the rear-end and put up candidates like GH Bush and Bob Dole. It's folks just like you that put people like the Clinton's in the White House. It's you that has ruined the republican party. Face it...you're a party hack that will accept anything the spineless republican party throws at you. You are the demise of the republican party.
I certainly coul dbe mistaken ... I’m old enough to make mistakes and corrections. Look at the fine print in Mitt Romney’s ‘Damascus Road’ conversion to pro-life. He claims that it was over the use of embryos that he came to a change of heart yet he is supporting using embryo-aged humans ‘left over from IVF’ for research programs. Couple that with 35 years (by his own words) of pro-choice and his instituting a healthcare program that pays for abortion on demand in Mass. and you have a different conclusion from pro-life. You have a slick political operative doing what he thinks he must to fool enough to get into power. He did it to get elected in Mass as governor, he will keep true to form ... and that form is slickness like a clinton.
Very classy. So if we don't support socialist Republicans, we're automatically in the can for Hillary.
My generation is fed up with your "take one for the party" attitude. If you haven't noticed a liberal republican President can be a very dangerous thing.
Even coming from a Rudy fan, that's a very queer way to frame an insult!
“This newbie has been hanging around FR since May 1998 ...” Prove it, Agitprop. I think you’re lyin’ through your divisive teeth. Perot swept sinkEmperor into the White HOuse the first time and the media destroyed Bob Dole because they wanted their degenerate to continue in power. GH Bush was a pretty good President in my estimation. His use/listening to Colin Powell was an error in judgment, but he managed a very difficult time very well.
I supported Buchanan in the primary against GH Bush and I supported Forbes in the primary against Dole.
So your above remark is stupid.
Dumb accusations get appropriate responses. Read what was posted to me.
So then if we won't support a third party candidate who wasn't able to win the Republican nomination, then it's our attitude that is part of the problem and it is folks like us who are screwing up?
This is why I’m leaning toward voting for Huckabee in the primaries. I doubt he’ll win, and I really disagree with him about his populist stances (although I support the Fair Tax) but at least I won’t be doing what “the establishment” says I have to do in order to “be politically smart”.
I keep thinking “What if President Rudy gets caught with a new mistress in the Oval Office?” Agonizing. And it would totally destroy his ability to lead.
Romney seems to me to be more a Republican than a Conservative.
I really soured on McCain because of his attack on the 1st Amendment, and the whole “gang of 14” circus.
Thompson appears to be a little too comfortable with the Washington Establishment.
I really disagree with Huckabee on Free Trade and the idea that the federal government can solve state and local problems through spending money (and I mean frothing at the mouth type disagreement), but at least no one is trying to stuff him down my throat.
