Anti-war demonstrators protest military ship unloading in Olympia

Anti-war protests have returned to the Port of Olympia with the unloading of a military ship bearing Army gear from a Stryker Brigade that recently returned to nearby Fort Lewis from Iraq.

According to an initial news release Sunday from Olympia Port Militarization Resistance, the group at first did not plan to try to block cargo from being sent from the port to the Army post ...

Late Monday, however, after the arrival of 950-foot roll-on, roll-off cargo vessel, group leaders said a series of votes and discussions resulted in a change in strategy.

"As long as the war in Iraq is going on, it's all part of the revolving door," said Andrew Yankey... "They're just shipping it in so they can ship it back out,"...

The Brittin was used to haul the gear of the 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team), which recently completed a 15-month assignment in Iraq.

I wouldn’t get in front of a Stryker. But they might.

Bjornstad said that blocking the vehicles on a public roadway is illegal, and anyone doing so is subject to arrest.

Arrest does not get it without at least a year in jail and a few thousands fine. I have never heard where an arrest of these jackasses does any good without real punishment.

Over the weekend vandals smashed windows at the New Apostolic Church in west Olympia and at the Flood the Sound Church just a few miles away and spray-painted anarchist graffiti along the path between the two churches.

“That kind of made us suspicious,” Lt. Chris Mealy with the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office said.

Graffiti left on a nearby store said “No Port Militarization—Oly unite.”

According to detectives, they are wondering if the attacks on the church are somehow a twisted effort to protest war.

With traitors like these interfering with military movements. They should have a load of these to clear the way.

The antiwar, anti-American leftists were just killing two birds with one stone, hopefully the detectives didn't wonder too long about it.

City Council member TJ Johnson and Lawrence Mosqueda, a professor at The Evergreen State College

Both are moonbats of the first order and real losers, they've been involved in protests for years.

BTW, George. A judge ruled the teacher in Medford, Shirley Katz, can't carry concealed in school.

I got to see what happens two years ago when a female driving a Ford Explorer pulled in front of a Stryker in a convoy and jammed on her brakes. He couldn’t stop fast enough and smashed her explorer flat right up to the front seat.

Wow. Did she do this purposely as a protester? What an idiot. Serves her right. Sorry but I have no empathy on that one. God bless all the men and women who serve our nation and the world many times as well.

I went to college in Olympia and reading this stuff just makes me sick to my stomach just as it did when I was in school there. I was liberal when I went in and watching enough of these yahoos at work and listening to the half baked ideas of the teachers that preach, preach, preach awakened my inner conservative. Also I like to think and make clear minded arguments based on facts etc so needless to say these people didn't offer me much except role modeled well a good communist.

I still can't bring myself to contribute financially as a Evergreen Alum. If I do it will be in a very focused and specific area that has to do with actual thinking, learning and if it is artistic intelligent art (in my opinion as a conservative and an artist.) Don't see a lot of that coming out of there. Most kids are wasting their time being brainwashed, many unbeknowningly.

Evergreen is home to some real live nut-cases. Do they get federal funding?

Actually no. She was going too fast and needed to take the upcoming exit. Instead of merging in (matching speeds and using signals) she squeezed in front of him then hit the brakes in anticipation of exiting. It was ugly but I believe she lived.

(I wonder if she learned anything? ;’}

Evergreen State was St. Pancakes’ alma mater. Anyone waving banners yelling “For Corrie!”?

Some of these anarchists are well known. Some just need to start disappearing and the problem will go away.

At one point in our history that sob would have been removed from his position and prosecuted for aiding the enemy. And so would the professor.

But now our Nation is so riddled with traitors such as these......

Evidently the good people admired johnson enough to elect him the their city council.

This tells me all I need to about both him and them.
