I’m getting familiar with the concept that any candidate running under the Republican banner getting a lot of MSM coverage are non-conservative medicine show hucksters willing to cut a deal - while people like myself questioning their values, patriotism, nationalism and preserving our culture are strongly encouraged to STHU and leave governing to the “adults”.
Insults like that is what drove Karl Rove back to private consultation. His awesome arrogance is a huge factor for the Dems winning so much Congressional ground...his contempt for the average citizen was obvious in nearly everything he said. I can only believe that so much smoke was funneled up his butt by manipulative reporters that his egocentric self failed to see that he was being played like a violin while he thought he was conducting the orchestra.
Lesson: Holding the American people in obvious contempt and assuming they’re all idiots will definitely backfire.
"Unlike in junior high, it's often a good sign in presidential politics when people say nasty things about you. It means you are threatening. It means others fear you. It means you might just win something."

One of Rove’s greatest mistakes in judgment was to err on the side of the establishment wing over movement Conservatives in political races. They (he and the WH) were responsible for the disastrous selections of Lamar!, Pete Coors, Chafee, Kirk Humphreys, and other piss-poor Senate candidates (in the case of Humphreys, almost every poll showed him losing to the Democrat, and had it not been for Tom Coburn unapologetically upending Humphreys, OK would now have Brad Carson as the junior Senator).
