Most of the European descent males in the United States Military are the White Southerners and White farmers from the farming states. I doubt that the Elite would send their children in the military although George P. Bush recently joined the Naval Reserve.

Totally agree.

Vast difference between my two RVN tours, however.

In 66-67, there was one color in RVN; Green. Black soldiers were trying (and dying) to prove Dr. King was right, that Blacks were good soldiers, the equal of Whites.

In 69-71, all was changed. It was Black Power, attitude and the Black Power handshake that took about a minute and a half to accomplish. It was like watching two girls play “Patti Cake.”

I’m not fishing for thanks, I benefitted more from my service than the Army or the Nation did.

I didn't think you were fishing for thanks,,I saw you were a vet and I wanted to thank you for your service.

6) the ‘failing’ economy is still able to provide adequate alternatives for employment

The Republican economic policies have done such a great job of eradicating poverty that the Democrats have been forced to import poor people (illegal aliens).
