I have a son at UT and I check the TowerCam most days to see what the weather is doing in Austin. This morning I caught these two images (3 minutes apart) of an odd looking contrail ascending at a very steep angle. I don't think that military jets fly out of Bergstrom any longer so I wondered if the collected experience on FR could identify the images. Thanks for your input.

Those don’t look like the are ascending at a steep angle, it looks more like an optical illusion because of the x axis angle (best way I can describe it) in relation to the tower. From the tower it looks like it is heading up but in reality, it is traveling in consistent height, but slightly left (for the first) so it only appears to be going up.

Those are contrails entirely above the cloud deck. The first picture has the best clue.
