K-Lo must be devastated by this.

Why? Maybe you should educate yourself as to Fred's positions on these critical issues. There are specific plans in tremendous detail located at Fred08.com. I cannot find any plans laid out in such detail from either Romney or Rudy.

While everyone else said Fred was lazy and not giving it his all...he was behind the scenes meeting with economists and great minds on these critical subjects. He has put forth a plan on each of the major issues, if you haven't read them, then maybe it is you that are lazy and just wasting our time.

It’s obvious why conservatives see something to like in Thompson. He has offered clear, conservative ideas on fixing Social Security, policing immigration, and expanding the military. We encourage the other candidates to follow his lead.

Fred is a leader and a statesman.

I hope his stand on illegal aliens is tronger than this article says.

Police participation and employer crackdowns are only a starting point. Without active deportation, the population of illegals will never shrink fast enough. The underground economy will just grow.

There are probably still idiots even some Freepers that read this and STILL say this about Fred, yet they will be supportive of Rudy McRombee. Unbelievable!

I’m glad to see this in National Review. Their gurus all seem to have signed up with bizarre candidates up to this point. Maybe they are coming around. The NRL endorsement may have woken a few of these people up.

Not that it matters, but who are you for Hillary or Rudy McCroney?

" hope his stand on illegal aliens is stronger than this article says. Police participation and employer crackdowns are only a starting point. Without active deportation, the population of illegals will never shrink fast enough. The underground economy will just grow." Wrong!

All we need is Fred's solid, no-wriggle-room workplace enforcement. If they don't have a job, they go home all by themselves without the inevitable whining from the left and open-borders crowd about how we cannot deport them.

It is the perfect approach.

Also, that was just two of the many items on Fred's highly detailed and complete immigration plan.

If you really want to see the details, go to http://www.fred08.com/virtual/Immigration.aspx

Thanks for the link. What a comprehensive plan that isn't pie-in-the-sky wishful thinking. Bush had some great ideas re:Social Security but nothing got implemented. Fred would have support for most of these steps needed to be taken.

Excerpt from Fred's plan on above link: English As Official Language. Make English the official language of the United States to promote assimilation and legal immigrants' success, and require English proficiency in order for any foreign person to be granted lawful permanent resident status.

That would be great to get rid of the “Press 1 for Spanish, Press 2 for English...” BS.

bump for the real Conservative vs all the other pretenders

it’s hard to believe real Conservatives would actually split their votes with Rooty and Romney(recent convert to Conservatism for political gain) before working together for Thompson...... at least in the primaries

Fred Thompson like Eisenhower is calm, collected and responsible with his thoughts and his ideas,, he is at least as Conservative as Reagan was (if not more)on fighting for the unborn, immigration, the courts and fighting the enemy

the others(execpt McCain) are just putting on a phony politician acts(many people think the phony campaign act is “fire in the belly”)

Romney is just a bit too wormy for me, he will tell you anything you want to hear and the way he snapped at McCain the other day about the political ad irony was just cheap and snippy

to me it made McCain look like a grownup taking a hit for his principles and Romney looking like the know it all immature rich kid taunting nanner nanner

McCain is now my number 2(out of the top tier),, hoping Duncan Hunter will be VP on the final ticket

At this pace, Thompson would have to be POTUS for the rest of his life. Why not propose something that POTUS can actually do without a Congressional majority? Too lame.

Well, it it too lame or too ambitious? You don’t seem to be able to decide.

Why are they encouraging liberals to steal from Thompson’s lead on conservative solutions. Wouldn’t the proper response be to instead back the ONLY ONE making these proposals? Oh, right, NRO prefers ABT.
