Thompson would borrow the best Democratic idea on Social Security, creating investment accounts outside the Social Security system.

Creating investment accounts outside the Social Security system was a Democrat idea? Is that true? Doesn't seem like the sort of thing any dhimmie would ever support.

I had the same thought. Would like to see some source for that statement, wouldn't you?

Workplace enforcement is not going to have any effect on those in the underground economy — all those guys standing around outside Home Depot, the illegals nannies, the gang members making their money off drugs, prostitutes, day laborers hired in construction, the panhandlers, the fruit sellers on street corners, etc.

All of those people add to the costs of schools, hospitals, crime, and generally erode wages and the quality of life for citizens.

We need to put a $1,000 bounty on each illegal alien and then deport them when they are brought in. $500 to the informant and $500 to the police officer that brings them in and a $500 penalty for being wrong. The average police officer in LA could retire in a year or two after bringing in a few thousand illegal aliens. We’d have them all cleared out inside two years. If they were employed, charge the cost of the bounty and the deportation to the illegal employer. We’d save the $20B cost of deporting them all in just one year of school and hospital costs.
