L. Brent Bozell, founder of Media Research Center, NB's parent, made an appearance on today's "Morning Joe." Brent is the author, with MRC/NB's Tim Graham, of the recently-released "Whitewash: What the Media Won't Tell you About Hillary Clinton, But Conservatives Will."
Look for comprehensive coverage of Brent's appearance from my colleagues at MRC and NB during the day. But for present purposes, let's focus on one point Brent made that speaks volumes about the depth of the MSM's partisanship -- that for broadcast networks, promoting liberal ideology trumps even the bottom line.

Someone explain to me why any of our people even bother to appear on PMSNBC? Why give any credibility to POS Joe or any of the other hosts on a network that has made a commitment to appeal to the left wing loonies?

I think Bozell is absolutely right. AFAIK, the broadcast networks make most (and sometimes all) of their profit from non-news operations. So they think nothing of using the news to promote their agenda.
I'll take a stab at it.
I applaud Bozell for venturing into the lion's den. He won't convince the network clowns, but if he can reach some of the lemmings who up to that point didn't know any better, I say it's worth the bother.
Bozell always seems to be having fun when he is pulling their chain.
If anybody here saw it, how did Joe treat Bozell?

Why do you say that about someone who has devoted his career to combating liberal media bias?
Nothing new about that. They've been operating under that premise a long time, witness the falling bottom line and the endless deep pockets to keep pumping out the same biased B.S. Same for the newspapers, Hollywood, etc.
Your reasons for knocking him are....obscure. Care to elaborate?

If that is true..it would seem to me shareholders in media have an excellent lawsuit...
Just watched the clip as I only saw the end of the discussion by accident when you could hear Mika Brezinski choking out loud while Joe and Brent were speaking. Joe then gave her time to speak to Brent and he was pretty much perfect in replying to her rhetorical questions.
Seems like Mika is firmly in the Obama camp although her reflex was to complain to Brent about the NY Times coverage on the lead up to the Iraq war. Brent pointed out to her that although it was the conventional wisdom about WMD even previous to the Bush Administration the electronic media unlike the written press never followed up on Hillary’s various problems.
Mika then had nothing to say when the camera panned back to her. But she was clearly bothered by it. Hard to say if she had nothing left in the tank or that time was up.
Mika’s father, the former NSC advisor to Jimmy Carter must be proud of her and the elitist education she’s received. Because she’s completely reflexive to the liberal/leftist perspective and it surfaces on a regular basis.
From what I saw, Joe was fair and straightforward with questions to Brent.

But all of the media is owned by corporations, so it should be called the “corporate media”, not the “liberal media”. They are slanted toward corporations, not toward liberal ideology.

I lost all never had any respect for L.B.B.III during his time with the PTC and their NannyState B.S. ... he is nothing but another Socialist Conservative, who doesn't mind and actually encourages "Big Government" involvement control as long as it is a "cause" he believes in...
