Heavenly Father, it is in Your great faithfulness that we rest. We say, “You are our refuge and our fortress; our God, in You we will trust.” Surely You shall deliver us. Your truth is our shield and protection. We are not afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at our side, And ten thousand at our right hand; But it shall not come near us. Only with our eyes shall we look, and see the reward of the wicked. This is true because Your Word is true and because Jesus, even Jesus the Word, is Lord.

As we pray united in our love for and faith in You, we believe You answer us. For President Bush, we ask for the fullness and manifestation of Your promises which make him a living memorial to your faithfulness. Keep his body, spirit and soul healthy and strong. Order his steps and decisions and surround him with godly and wise counsel. We ask You to give him time in his busy day to study and show himself approved by You.

Mighty God, You are the protector and victor for our troops. We thank You for each and every one and ask that the peace that passes understanding would guard their hearts. We continue to believe that they will return to their families strengthened and invigorated by Your Spirit. Return them to us as soldiers of the cross. Thank You, Sir.

Lord of the Harvest, You asked us to pray that You would send out laborers and so we do that today. Enable each member of Your body to be ambassadors for Christ and open up doors of utterance so that multitudes will make the right choice in the valley of decision. Based on the blood of Jesus alone, we pray for mercy for the United States.

We, Your people, love, appreciate and thank You for all that You are and all that You do. Your ways are just, O Lord. Thank You in Jesus’ name. Amen.
