Democrats' debate turns to mud

The Democratic candidates for president had hardly stepped on stage for their debate here Thursday night when the political insults started dropping faster than Flying Elvises.

Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York accused former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards of a mud-slinging fest "right out of the Republican playbook."

Edwards managed in one short monologue to link Clinton with President Bush, double-talk on Social Security and a "corrupt" political system he says she won't challenge.

biden looked the most sane... because ALL of the others are just that bad. hildebeast was hurt badly last night... she came off shrill... angry... fake, unprepared and unfit for the Presidency... the rest did even worse... but biden. That in itself proves the weakness of the dim party and their candidates.

If you don’t like Hillary, prepare to move even MORE Left with Obama.

And if Obama still isn’t far enough Left for you, prepare for Kucinich (Kook-cinich).

They are all BIG government Lefty socialists. They all want the Federal government taking your money, distributing it to those who “NEED” it...

Social welfare out the wa-zoo...grabbing your guns, radically altering the fabric of traditional society via feminism, pushing special rights for homosexuals, race politics (giving unfair preference to racial minorities in order to “make up for” the injustices of the past), the most insane foreign policy of trying to stupidly tell the President how to conduct a war (hello, Constitution anyone?)...

I mean, if you are agains the war, then stop funding it. Just call a vote in Congress to end all funds for the war, ala Vietnam.

Otherwise, STFU and let the Commander-in-Chief have WHATEVER HE WANTS to try to achieve VICTORY.

I will say what I have said since earlier this year. Hillary will defeat herself. She will say the wrong thing, at the worst possible moment, to the wrong person, and in front of the cameras and microphones.

Then the world will see her for what she is, and fear what might be.

I can’t imagine anyone enjoying this sham... it was awful... it showcased EVERYTHING bad and evil about the dim party. They lost votes last night... no way but down. Only full bore commies and socialists could have been pleased. BDS was thick and pervasive.

He appeared that way because the others are just so bad... worst candidate list ever in the History of our Nation. Only one man, biden, even came off caring about America... and he just wants a socialist nanny state... the rest want communism and totalitarianism.

In reading all the follow up reports on this debate, it would seem fatso did not do herself any good. Despite the opinion of CNN that she “redeemed” herself (what else would you expect them to say), she made no strides toward solidifying her positions on anything and seemed to spend much time trying to paint her opponents as Republicans. It seems clear to me that there was at least some corroboration between her and Dodd and probably Richardson as well.

All in all it was in keeping with the strict programming of fatso that we have come to expect. It is hard to see how she will survive in a one on one debate in the general election and to the constant hammering she will be sure to get via the campaign ad route.
