A good headline, but no one would print it.

“Bush Veto Threat Causes May Have Caused Troop Deaths.”

That’s what they’ll print.

BTTT.

Please, everyone read this if only to re-confirm to yourself the utter vileness of the Democrats.

Senate Republicans halt Iraq withdrawal plan

http://www.reuters.com/article/topNews/idUSN1424770620071116?feedType=RSS&feedName=topNews&rpc=22&sp=true

Republicans vowed to keep blocking such attempts. “It’s telling our soldiers, you’re losers, when they’re winners. So we’re going to defeat it, now and forever,” Sen. Lindsey Graham, a South Carolina Republican, said.

Here are the Red State Democrats who voted no:

Baucus (D-MT)
Bayh (D-IN)
Bingaman (D-NM)
Byrd (D-WV)
Conrad (D-ND)
Dorgan (D-ND)
Harkin (D-IA)
Johnson (D-SD)
Landrieu (D-LA)
Lincoln (D-AR)
McCaskill (D-MO)
Nelson (D-FL)
Nelson (D-NE)
Pryor (D-AR)
Reid (D-NV)
Rockefeller (D-WV)
Salazar (D-CO)
Webb (D-VA)

Good luck defeating ANY of them. Seems to me many of them won election or reelection by slim margins just last year. But hey, we were just punishing RINOs, right? And if the Republican voters in the upcoming primaries DARE to elect Guiliani as the GOP candidate, the TRUE BLUES will show them by letting Hillary win.

Actions have consequences.

TNCMAXQ, spot on!

President Bush should veto the stopgap that congress has to pass to keep the government running.

Yes indeed. I have to wonder how many “disaffected” Republicans stayed home and gave us senators like Webb, Tester, McCaskill, et al. Pretty sad.

Many Demo senators who voted for surrender here are from states that went only narrowly for Bush in ‘04. I doubt for example that we will ever get creeps like Rockefeller out. He and others will probably never retire. We might have a shot at getting Landrieu out but that’s about it. Maybe Johsnon can be beaten—in 2014. Looks like he is secure for next year and that is a shame. Unless Marc Racicot or Dennis Rehberg take on Baucus, he will be in office for life too.

It was Smith (RINO-OR), Snowe (RINO-ME), Collins (RINO-ME), and Hagel (A**HAT-NE).

I wonder the unemployment rate in Maine is going to be in a few weeks, particularly in the Portsmouth area.

In a following vote, tying funding to a pull out date, failed by only seven votes.

If we all send the Pentagon a personal check, do you think the liberals would realize that they are TOAST?

This is Dodd’s statement on the internet....why did he vote against the bill? Was he drunk and pulled the wrong switch?

Statement of Senator Dodd on Senate Passage of the Defense Authorization Act
October 1, 2007

“I am deeply disappointed in the Defense Authorization Act that was passed by the Senate tonight. Not only does it lack provisions to end this disastrous war, but it fails to provide even the simplest benefit to the families of our returning wounded warriors. The least we could have done for these families is protect their jobs for six months as they care for their injured loved ones, which is exactly what the amendment I filed a few weeks ago would have done. Unfortunately, my amendment was not included in the bill that passed tonight. While I am pleased that the Senate has finally acted to increase funding for some critical national defense initiatives, such as the $470 million provided for the production of an additional submarine per year, I cannot applaud the Senate for passing yet another piece of legislation that takes no steps to end this war and bring our troops home.”

Snowe and Collins are RINOs because New England is lost to conservatism. Maine will one day go RAT and that will be that. The same can be said for NH, VT, CT, RI, and MA (well, already true for MA, RI and VT).

Collins and Snowe won’t lose against the dems, but they’ll never be seceded by more conservative Senators.

I’ve seen this sort of thing before. What the Pentagon will do is review all their major and minor programs and reduce funding on all but the most critical. You can always stretch out weapon system development programs but you cannot bring back men and women in uniform who died because they were not supported by the traitors who call themselves Senators and Congressmen.

The result will be layoffs in the defense industry. That will not be a good thing and the public will notice. The DummyDems are digging themselves into a very deep hole with a shovel given to them by moveon.org and the other Marxist, America hating institutions that are the life blood of the modern day Democrat Party.

What drives me crazy is how people in the Porstmouth-Kittery area tend to be so reflexively liberal, in light of the fact that so much of the local economy is supported by the Porstmouth Navy Yard.
