Rush's sendup of 'The Godfather' today was hysterical. Especially the part where The Bent One told Wolf Blitzer he can have his testicles back any time he needs them. LMAO :-)

Yes, the “voicemail message” from Bill Clinton to Wolf Blitzer was funny, and the theme from the Godfather playing in the background helped to underscore the “threat” made to Wolfie.

It was very well done.

Getting back to “The Godfather” for a moment - I saw a documentary on it’s production and Coppola revealed that the film had a sneak preview in Toronto 2 weeks before it was to open in NYC. At that sneak preview audience survey information revealed it was likely to be a bomb and that audience members were confused about certain characters and their relationship to the main characters. Coppola indicated that this came as a complete surprise and that it triggered a feverish and comprehensive re-edit in the two weeks before the open in NYC. If this fellow gets credit for that - my hat’s off to him. I must have seen Parts I and II of The Godfather about 30x over the years, and it’s still very impressive, very rich each time.
