Unfortunately, we lost the 32th, the 28th, the 25th, the 39th, the 54th and the 103th House districts by narrow margins, all but one was four points or less. The 83rd has just two votes separating the Republican and Democratic candidates with two precincts outstanding.

I can’t help but wonder if we’re coming up short because Bobby stayed out of these races.

News reports say we may have a Republican speaker in the state house. We didn’t win the majority, but we may have the votes regardless.

Also, we ended up with a net one gain in the Senate. Could have been two if we held on to Craig Romero’s open seat in Iberia Parish.
