Who'd you bet on in a Mixed Martial Arts match between Paul Krugman and Maureen Dowd? You might get the chance. Earlier this week, Krugman called Barack Obama a "sucker" and a "fool," while praising Hillary. Today, Maureen Dowd goes after Paul's girl, calling Clinton every name in the headline and a few more.

The theory of Dowd's column today is that while Hillary knows how to shake Barack Obama with her ice-cold demeanor, Rudy will revel in the combat with Clinton. Excerpts from "Shake, Rattle and Roll" [emphasis added]:

So who's Maureen's horse in the race? She did write admiringly of Rudy's toughness in a prospective match-up with Hillary. You don't suppose?

I don't think Maureen usually has a horse. She goes after whoever's in power.

But maybe she dislikes Rudy less than everyone else.

I watched the debate and Dowd is spot on. When Hill walked on the stage shortly after Obama and Edwards and I think Dodd were all shaking hands and acting like men do before a contest, she avoided all eye contact, did not shake hands and looked like my Mom when mad at my DAd. She was so much acting like a cold mother that it was shocking.

She isn’t up to playing with the men here. She is a piece of work, a cold woman, mean and vengeful.

Dowd has her down to a tee.

Interesting article by Dowd. Not-Ready-For-Prime-Time Barack and the other cast of sheep were sandbagged by the venue, the wolf and the Mega-Minority-Chameleon/Victim. The weren’t thrown under the bus, but clearly had their seats assigned to them in the rear by the driver.
