It appears Illinois is also adiosing private clubs.
The only loophole I see in Illinois to turn all bars into smoke shops. Charge only for tobacco and give the dink away free(wink wink)..assuming a smoke shop can get a liquor license.
thanks again
It’s coming.
Feel good ordinances passed by those in power, enforced by the police state, welcome to America.
My dear hubby enjoyed Vegas when we were there. He was actually “allowed” to enjoy a cigar with his adult beverage. He only smokes about 6 cigars a year, but it sure was a little bit of enjoyment for him — just to be “allowed” — imagine that.
LOOOVE your new tag-line! AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!
That’s how I feel these days as well.
Gracias. Muerte al estado del nanny! :-)
Had a little help from the gracious Madame. :-)
The NJ Supreme Court has ruled that you have no right to expect the police to protect you when you call 911. A woman was witnessed being abducted and the police decided not to respond......
Thanks, same to you.
She can always be counted on for the “catch-phrase of the thread”, LOL.
Yes, and she is so eloquent.
Sure it doe, it proves that the bars are losing customers and other businesses now have more drinking customers to satisfy. Probably out with the kids too.
IF there was so much demand for non smoking establishments, why didnt anybody spend their $$$ to open one across the street from a smoking bar???
Also one I forgot about til I stopped by a buds auto repair business and lit a smoke while bs-ing next to a 55' chevy, How utterly stupid is it that in an auto shop or welding shop etc etc that people arent allowed to smoke???
I’ve been there before in the past - 10 years, incl. cigarettes, cigars, and pipe. I quit for health reasons. The nanny state and taxes had nothing to do with it - don’t need the government regulating an activity that affects only me. BTW I reject the bogus second-hand smoke argument for the same reason I reject global warming: effect is so negligible as to be effectively a non-factor.
I’m still working on quitting. Currently dieting to offset the weight gain that will surely follow, lol. I lost 100 pounds a couple years ago, and honestly, that was cake compared to two months of not smoking.
If more people would resist the nazis this country would go back to its former greatness.
How nice of you both.
Happiest of Thanksgivings to you!
Happy Thanksgiving to you as well.
Keep metesky in line, Madame.
“It’s more than feel good. It has nothing to do with tobacco and keeping people safe. Creating more laws is another means for socialists to further their agenda of replacing our democratic republic with a strong centralized socialist form of government.”
Well said. That IS their ultimate goal with all of this senselessness.
This goes back to the famous Andrew Jackson quote - “They have made their law, now lets’s see them enforce it.”
The bar me and my wife frequent here in Ohio could also care less about the Smoke Nazis. In fact, I know of many Rebel bars that are giving the finger to this law.
