This makes my blood boil. What a racist bitch the security guard is but I guess that’s the order of the day at this school. What whites have to realize is that there is a greater proportion of racists among the black community than among whites. Black racists are pushing racial dominance as far as they can. It’s just sad. And I’m not ready for a liberal black president because of it. It would only encourage further violence. The liberal view of racism is racist itself and holds no hope of racial harmony.

It’s just a small typo. I’m sure the author meant noon.

Trouble is a-brewing on The Rock. Same paper ... a week later:

Nooses Found In Parks Office Anger Workers, Officials

Two hangman’s nooses, long the symbol of slavery and oppression of black people, were found wrapped around the collars of clothing in the lockers of two Parks Department supervisors when they opened their lockers at a Rockaway facility on Saturday morning, police officials say.

What an awful story. Though there are plenty of spineless Republicans out there too who won’t confront the issue head on. I suppose in some ways I can’t blame them. It is something on which it is almost to win.

The story is depressing too because it shows we probably have a bleak future ahead as a divided country. I shudder to think what we would do as a nation if we face a REAL threat. If China should threaten to bomb us, or if terrorists (under a Demo president) are able to infiltrate and start blowing up things in this country, what then? People who are easily “offended” would be the first to cave I suppose. If they are so weak willed that a mere word, or a symbol that absolutely no harm, enrages and hurt them, then they would probably rather side with the enemy.

Guess the next thing will be to ban anything white on campuses.

Haven't they already done that?

long the symbol of slavery and oppression of black people

It was? Since when? What about white people who were lynched? What about common hangings during the days of the old west? What about execution by hanging?

This father needs a defense fund set up. If a white parent can’t protect his child, then that’s just the most unjust circumstance imaginable. If this were a black child then the streets would be on fire. Maybe that’s what is what it’s going to take. After all these years after the civil war and the civil rights movement and after all the turmoil endured blacks and whites, this is what we come to; whites being prosecuted for protecting their children against black children. Whites hide in their homes for fear of racial violence and nobody says a thing. White people get murdered and tortured by blacks and no hate crime is charged (Chattanooga couple). It just seems that blacks use any excuse to further power and violence against whites. And it’s all because they are in denial that they can be bigots and racist and unjust and the culture allows it.

You see a link on that ‘Wave’ newspaper site to another story, from 2006, about youths robbing and beating other teens on a subway in the Rockaway section of NYC? It actually identified the attacker/robbers as black. No mention of course of the victims. I thought that was mostly a white section of NYC but I am not sure. As always though, I have to wonder about the ethnicity of the victims.

I guess no one bothered to ask this marine who was nearly tarred and feathered about who he socialized with. Interesting to read that his best friend in Iraq was another marine who happened to be black. Meanwhile I read that local authorities in Knoxville were quick to point out that the savage rapist/killers in that crime had other white acquaintances, so they saw no evidence of hate crime. Like it should matter one way or the other.

You got the city wrong btw, or was there a horrific assault on a white couple there too? Wouldn’t surprise me. You can hardly expect the “news” media to report on these things.

Rockaway is a very racially segregated section of New York City with the Cross Bay Bridge being a rough dividing line. Traveling east, the area known as Arverne once consisted of hundreds of privately owned summer bungalows and small businesses. They were demolished in the 1960s under the umbrella of "Urban Renewal". As with Far Rockaway and Edgemere, several public housing projects populate these neighborhoods.

As one travels west, neighborhoods change. Few, if any, persons of color live in Rockaway Park, Belle Harbor (not shown), Neponsit, Roxbury, or Breezy Point. Many homes in these areas are worth multi-millions.

"...long the symbol of slavery and oppression of black people"

Huh?!? [deeply puzzled] I'm 46 years old, and in my lifetime, the noose has been a symbol of: a)spaghetti westerns that my late father loved b)Halloween haunted houses Since when did the noose become 'the symbol of slavery and oppression of black people' all of a sudden?! I HATE reinvented history!!! >:-(

“a lot of students may not want to attend this college because of racism.”

Works both ways... Non blacks may not wish to attend a place where there is so little tolerance and understanding.

You’re right, it was Channon Christian and Christopher Newsome that were assaulted and tortured by a gang of black males and one black female. I had heard also of one account of three white girls who got lost and ended up in the inner city of a major town and were beaten to an inch of their lives. It was on the Mike Gallagher show a few years back. He gets angry about underreported black on white crime, as do I. There was also a situation, I believe in South Carolina back in the mid nineties, where a white man was beaten so badly by multiple black attackers, he had to have major brain surgery.

You can google black on white crime and you find many instances of black men killing or raping or torturing white people. Much of the time these websites use racist language against blacks because the authors are probably angry and frustrated. They shouldn’t use that language however because I see this as a just cause. I have realized that white liberals who protect blacks at all costs even to allow blacks a free pass on hate crimes are either naive and without dignity (I think whatever color you are born, you should be proud of it or at least not ashamed) or just so emotional and lacking in imagination that they can’t possibly change the way they think. Also there is an element of fear, that if they do speak out against blacks they might get attacked. The proof’s in the pudding.

Followup:

Cops Investigating PS 225 ‘Hate Crime’

Staff members and parents arriving at PS 225 in Rockaway Beach on Monday morning were greeted with a racial screed that is being investigated by the NYPD’s Hate Crimes Unit, sources say.

The flyer left in and around PS 225 on Beach 110 Street in Rockaway Beach on Monday.

Those arriving early on November 5 found hundreds of small flyers scattered around the building’s perimeter and in the building, as well.

The flyer was entitled “Black Racism,” and it went on to charge that the minority students in the building are mistreating the white children who attend the pre-K to grade-seven school. Department of Education statistics indicate that less than eighteen percent of the students are white, while 42.5 percent are black and 36.5 percent are Hispanic.

“In all public schools where blacks are the majority and whites are the minority, white kids endure racial slurs and beatings by groups of black kids,” the anonymous flyer said. “This is not reverse racism this is racism. If the situation was reversed and a white kid called a black kid the N-Word he would be suspended.”

School workers clean up the remaining flyers that were left on the ground around the school, as school security agents look on.

The author of the document said that he was a student at PS 225 more than 20 years ago and even then, he was subjected to beatings and harassment at the hands of his black fellow students.

“Every day, I endured mental and physical abuse,” the writer says. “On a daily basis, I was called white devil, honkey, cracker, etc. On a consistent basis, I was jumped by groups of black kids and beat [only] because of the fact that I was white.”

He argues that it was wrong then and it is wrong now.

“There is a clear double standard when it comes to race,” the writer charges. “If you are black, when it comes to freedom of speech and the media, you can say almost anything without consequences.”

The flyer urges white kids and adults to unite and demand change “by any means necessary.”

A black parent who came to The Wave office with the flyer thought that it was racist.
