And I believe we have had the finest fighting force in the history of the world at each stage of our nation’s history, even though we were poorly prepared for war on occasion. IMO, that’s where our weakness will always be, if there is to be one. And it won’t be the fault of our grunts. It will be the fault of those who would defeat us from within.

Seems to me this kind of story needs to be brought to the attention of the Olympia, Washington Port Authority, the Evergreen University shlups who were out there the last couple of weeks seriously keeping the movement of war material from going as smooth as it should have...
I doubt a lot of them would be shamed by their behavior...
But guys and gals like this (in Iraq and Afganistan, and the rest of the world) are what is going to keep this country together!

I had one of my men re-enlist the day after a time fuse went off in is hand. He had just gotten it out of the main charge when it went. One or two seconds the other way and he would have been blown to bits. This happened in 1972 in Vietnam.
