Some initial thoughts.
In WWII we took all enemy lands, so all prisoners were released. In Korea, not so.
In WWII, I do not know of any coordinated effort to convert US POWs to National Socialism or into little Emperor worshipers. Granted POWs were harshly interrogated for tactical and in some cases strategic military information, but as far as trying to create a full reorientation of their base psyc makeup, ????
Suggest delving into “William J. Bryan, M.D, J.D., Ph. D.” He was heavily involved in Medical Hypnosis, MUKULTA, Flea Bailey’s Boston Strangler defense... AND WAS TECH ADVISOR FOR ORIGINAL “MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE” movie. There were other accusations that he was involved in Bobby Kennedy murder, but that is for another time. He is dead now. Took some courses from him in hypnosis. He was brilliant, and crazy.
