A SENIOR leader of al-Qaeda operating in executed dictator Saddam Hussein's hometown of Tikrit in northern Iraq and accused of killing 20 policemen has been arrested, police said.
A police officer from Tikrit said Hussein al-Ajeeli, also known as Abu al-Ajeeli, was arrested in a raid yesterday in the village of Albo Ajeel near Tikrit.
"The police raided his house after local villagers gave information about him," the officer said on condition of anonymity.
Ajeeli is accused of plotting a suicide attack against a police building in Tikrit two months ago which killed 17 policemen, the officer said.
Ajeeli is also also suspected of kidnapping and killing three other policemen in Al-Dour town near Tikrit, he added.
US commanders claim that al-Qaeda militants have fled to northern parts of the country in recent months to escape military assaults launched in the central and western parts of Iraq.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING
pong
Happy Thanksgiving
When Nancy Pelosi goes to bed at night does she pray for more of our guys getting killed over there for herr to read about when she wakes up?
......When Nancy Pelosi goes to bed at night ......
She washes her hands three or four times, but the blood of American Soldiers just won’t wash off.
With the amount of blood she has shed from our soldiers, she should open up her own blood bank.
Hmmmmm....an AQ punk that specializes in killing the local cops is now in the hands of the same. Allah have mercy on him, ‘cuz his captors surely aren’t.
My prayer for Nancy is a simple one:my she wake up one morning and feel the true depth of her treason.
Mean while back in the USA, the liberal marxists dimocrats hire attorney to represent thug before a US court, even though US courts do not have jurisdiction.
Time to get out the waterboard.
DUmbos: Oh, shiite! What do we do now? Oh, yes, protect our last hope, Iran, at any cost.
- No money (88 mil) for B2s' bunker buster capability (can you hear us, Ahmadi-Hijab?)
- W can't attack Iran without our permission (don't surprise Iran)
- A DUmbo president will talk to Iran, anytime, to convince him not to have nukes (LOL)
- STILL, the war is lost, therefore, initiate total withdrawal from Iraq
- We support the troops, BUT they are misbehaving and winning. Not acceptable!
Wake up America. Putting a DUmbo president in the White House will be a black day for America and will cost many American lives.
The DUmbo traitors know perfectly well that our win in Iraq will never stand if we leave without taking out Iran. When chaos in Iraq is the order of the day, Iran will take over and the DUmbos will say it's Bush's fault. Losing the ME to islamo-facsists and terrorist governments operating with impunity under a nuclear umbrella is not an option.
President Bush, I have faith in you. I believe you won't leave office before taking out Iran. That's your duty and your legacy.
There goes Do Nothing Nancy’s Thanksgiving. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide for AQ. Happy Thanksgiving to our Freedom Fighters
Pray for W and Our Victorious Toops
From Smallville re Nancy Pelosi:
For a woman with no heart, she certainly had a lot of blood.

I, along with my son and my daughter, are all in the Army Reserves.
I have always honestly felt that some of the blame of the bloodshed is the responsibility of the Democrats. These are not mere words, this is my belief. I believe this because the Iraqi people had not been willing to back America for fear that they would be abandoned. These people lived in oppression for decades, where taking a stand against Saddam could cost their lives, or the lives of their family. So until they knew one side was truly going to win, I felt that they were not going to make a stand.
In the meantime, the Democrats kept making that threat to pull out on them, to abandon them.
To back America under such a threat wasn’t worth the risk to them.
Now that America is about to win this war, now they are backing us, stepping to the plate to help us out.
I don’t really like putting that kind of blame on others, as it is like blaming someone else for the actions of evil people. But I understand why the Iraqi people didn’t step to the plate, and I can’t blame them for sitting idle for so long.
But the tide has indeed turned, and the Iraqi people are now seeing freedom from oppression, murder, and mahem.
When this is over, and I truly believe it will be, Iraq will indeed be that strong ally in the Middle East that President Bush once talked about.
There are many things that I criticize the President of the United States about, but in regards to this war, you will not hear this Soldier issue one complaint about my Commander in Chief.
Mistakes are always made in war. Ever see the movie “A Bridge Too Far”? But be patient, America, our American Armed Forces are far better than anyone gives them credit for. Victory will come, America.
Thank you for your perspective, and I agree completely.
War by its very nature is fraught with mistake...Look at Operation Tiger, which was a dress rehearsal for D-Day...nearly 800 men were killed. One can always go back AFTER the fact and say “We should have done this” or “We should have done that”, but the bottom line is: The dead who gave their lives in error or poor judgment are still casualties of war as much as anyone else.
Liberals, who know nothing of the military, think it can be carried out with no casualties if you plan it like the Macy’s Parade.
And hopefully inspire the Iraqis to increase their level of good HUMIT.
So much of the good happening is from the tips Iraqis provide as you probably know.
