CNN is embroiled in a new scandal, this time over "planted" audience questions during its televised debates, such as the recent Democrat Tribal Council a few nights ago in Las Vegas.
A roundup of links to news about the scandal: Catherine Jackson on May 18, 2007. Now, the same Catherine Jackson suddenly turns up magically as a CNN audience questioner at the debate. But she's not the only one. Here, with photos, a gang of pro-Hillary audience questioners, with questions pre-screened by CNN. Even more about them over here. Some details about one of those Hillary plants, here. And then there's this. How, exactly, did CNN stack the deck for Hillary? This explains it. Of course, there are precedents for planted questions during CNN debate coverage, going back at least to 2003. Ed Driscoll weighs in on the scandal, and he points out that back in 2005, Hugh Hewitt impishly gave CNN a new tag line, "The most busted name in news." So much for unbiased political coverage. Why doesn't the Clinton News Network just hire Dan Rather and get it over with? UPDATE -- Apparently, CNN thinks that this is a satisfactory acknowledgment of responsibility. The Clinton News Network has clearly learned a lesson from its favorite politicians: Never admit to wrongdoing. Pathetic. |
LOL...
Abb ping your list LOL!
Robert Bidinotto is excellent and was the original investigative journalist who exposed the Willie Horton scandal. Speaking of which, it really does look like Romney is experiencing a redux from his questionable appointment. My friend Donna Cuomo, the sister of Willie boy’s murder victim, Joey Fournier, explains it to me this way:
Nick,
See what kind of judges Mitt appointed the Democratically controlled Governors Council has to approve all gubernatorial appointees-—but Mitt never even presented conservative, tough on crime candidates for their consideration. He just submitted the names of liberal Democratsthinking, I am sure, that it would never be a problem for him. Maybe the truth of the matter is he really is a liberal when it comes to the crime issue. What a joke!

This all may lead to Romney’s undoing: good, as I never did trust him in the first place.
This is amazing. Thank you.
My Goodness! I’m as shocked as Claude Raines in his little french police suit!
Unfortunately, there will be nothing done about this.
Oh, yeah, one more on Romney, who, like Dallas’ Owens will experience next time the Skins’s Shawn Springs is on his heels, can hear the footsteps behind him:

Romney, who spent Thanksgiving with his family at their Lake Winnipesaukee, N.H., summer home, yesterday called on Superior Court Judge Kathe Tuttman - his own judicial nominee - to answer for her decision to free Tavares last summer on personal recognizance, as national media jumped on the story and political bloggers threatened to turn it into a hot-button campaign issue.
Judge Tuttmans entire experience as a prosecutor suggested she would be a law and order judge, said Romneys spokesman, Eric Fehrnstrom, in a statement. Otherwise, she wouldnt have been appointed. Only she can explain why she released Daniel Tavares without bail. Its inexcusable and she should answer for it. Romney was stumping for votes in Seattle when news of the gruesome Washington murders broke.

CNN Executive Defends Silence on Known Iraqi Atrocities
By Lisa de Moraes

CNN chief news executive Eason Jordan yesterday sent a memo to his staff defending his decision to withhold information about how Saddam Hussein’s regime had intimidated, tortured and killed Iraqis who had helped the cable news network over the years.
“Withholding information that would get innocent people killed was the right thing to do, not a journalistic sin,” Jordan said in the memo, a copy of which was obtained by The TV Column.

‘CNN: the *real* FAUX News/Poll/Debate Channel.’
“The most busted name in news.” LoL!
Great line!
Maybe NBC is worse, but the point is well made.
The word is shills. They are called shills. Pretty much the same as the people who read the ‘news’ to us every night at ABCNNBCBS.
