Israel and the Palestinian Authority have failed to draft a joint statement to be presented at next week's US-sponsored Middle East conference, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas told a meeting of Arab League foreign ministers in Cairo on Friday.
During a briefing on the progress of talks between Israel and the PA, Abbas said the negotiations were genuine, but both sides stuck to their positions, and Israel brought about the talks failure.

When I followed the link to the article at the Jerusalem Post, all of the comments under the article were in favor of Israel and against the Annapolis meeting.

The only “joint-statement” that heathen Abbas would agree to is if Olmerde came out (with Rice standing behing him shooting daggers from her eyes) and stated “today, we have come to an historic agreement, Israel will commit national suicide to show good will in bringing about a comprehensive peace with her neighbors.” May Heaven forbid such a thing ever happens! Anything else will cause Abbas/Saudis/Syrians, etc., etc., etc. to howl like the hyenas they are that there was “failure to agree on a joint statement.”
May this so-called “conference” go down like cold instant grits at a Paula Deen convention!
