I think Pelini is an excellent coach. However, I don’t think he is the best fit for Nebraska. I think they need to go back to the way Nebraska football was established by Devaney and Osborne. Right now, I would like to see Gill get the position. He was embedded as a player and coach in a program that was established in a way that was second to none.
Here are my thoughts: The Cornhuskers are on the right track with the west coast offense. This will attract recruits who will want to goto the next level. As far as I can tell, the ingredients are there. The defense on the other hand is in dire straits. If Bo Pelini can strentghen the defense and simplify the west coast offense, then they will rise up again.
If you doubt my wisdom, just look at the offensive scores, even on their losses.
