Clinton in trouble

Many of you have seen yesterday's story about the poll showing that Clinton now trails all five top Republicans in head-to-head matchups. What does this all mean?

First, anything Zogby does has to be taken with a grain of salt at this point. He has gotten a lot of things very wrong in the past, and he's also a known partisan. However, there may be some interesting tidbits to glean from the results nonetheless:

Powerline suggests that this is indicative of netroots hostility to Clinton, rather than GOP strength against her.

Captain Ed has a slightly longer analysis. He suggests that this is indicative of a trend: Clinton's hull has been pierced, and she is starting to take on a little water. (He does not suggest that she will lose the nomination, but this kind of weakness will be helpful to her opponents in the general election.)

Next, we have yet another possible fundraising scandal. This time, it looks like she has a bundler in Texas. If a Republican candidate were to...

Unfortunately for Hillary, the "lesbian" flap brings back the painfull memories of cigars, Monica and the whole bit we had to endure during B.J.'s reign.

This scandal begs the question of whether Ms.Clinton's reign will be more of the same, and I think folks have had their fill of this type of scandal.

I think she may be toast now...

Zogby’s poll was an “Interactive On Line” poll. Very unreliable. There is a new Gallup/USA Today that shows very different results.

I disagree with the article regarding Zogby’s polling. He’s been very accurate in the final outcome of races where other pollsters have not been, at least in the 90’s when I paid more attention to polling.

Being perhaps a cynic, and a believer in managed news, especially by the rich and powerful, one could logically expect to see a poll showing results opposite to that of Zogby’s in the immediate future. In this case, in less than a day.

zogby is a hack and an on-line poll has zero reliability. I can’t stand the bitch, but I take no comfort in an on-line poll.

I agree with the “MSM needs a horse race” meme along with the fact that frontrunners at this point in the race rarely finish first. H! needs to not be the front runner for a while.

Yes, the poll does have its problems. Still, there may be a bit of a trend here. Who knows.

Another question to you, and to everyone---who do you think is most beatable: Clinton, Obama, Edwards, or Richardson?

Zogby got less reliable in the 2000s.

Christian/Conservatives ran and stuck their heads in the sand [or cat-litter] when the MSM laughed at us when they informed us they were going to steal the 2006 election...

Wonder if they're worried about Mrs. Clinton's future?

... who do you think is most beatable: Clinton, Obama, Edwards, or Richardson?

I have a feeling if Mrs. Bill Clinton loses both Iowa and New Hampshire, it will be Bill Richardson who ends up becoming the "breakout" candidate. Of course, he will carry all of the stereotypical Democrat party constituencies. However, he will also draw a lot of Hispanic voters that other Democrats currently cannot reach. I predict that were Richardson to end up with the nomination, he will be very tough to beat.

On the other hand, if Mrs. Bill Clinton does become the Democrat party nominee, it will be Richardson who becomes the running mate, for the very same reason above.

This isn’t the usual online poll. (If it were, Ron Paul would have won). These are survey groups, where people fill out online questionaires for money or prizes. They use complex pre survey questions to make sure they have a representative cross section of the people by gender, race, political affilitation, etc. I have done a few and they seem quite accurate to me. Often, I have filled out the pre survey questionaire only to be told that they already have enough people who fit my ‘profile’.

I think the biggest dilemma for her is the name CLINTON.

The American electorate, fed up with the charade that was the Republican Majority decided to try the Democrats in ‘06 only to realize the BIG Charade.

It will be Conservative Fred Thompson versus Socialist Hillary Clinton in ‘08, and I believe Fred will win, if for nothing else to break the cycle of Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton.

Why hasn’t the mainstream media jumped on the story that Hillary’s lesbian lover, Huma Abedin, is probably an agent of Saudi intelligence? If a GOP candidate had a girfriend that was a Saudi agent, you can bet the liberal media would be all over it. They’d be all over it if Huma was Mossad because they hate Israel. But the dirtbag Saudis (who finance our enemies in the war) and the Clintons get a a pass.

I believe the CNN Vegas debate was her Waterloo. Even Dem’s don’t like a blatant ‘fix’ when it comes to an internal affair. IMO... she’s dropping like a free-fall elevator and the only thing slowing her down is cover provided by the DBM.
