I am posting this because earlier I posted another article about a Florida poll, which showed Huckabee in 2nd place in Florida -- well, the good news is he is not in second place in this poll, but Fred still has work to do.
For cross reference, here is the other poll info:
Huckabee surges into second place in Florida as critical debate looms
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1931202/posts
Rudy Giuliani (26%)
Mike Huckabee (17%)
John McCain (13%)
Mitt Romney (12%)
Fred Thompson (9%)
Ron Paul (3%)
Duncan Hunter (1%)
Tom Tancredo (1%)
Undecided (18%)
The Insider Advantage Poll or whatever was poorly done. The sampling was strange.
CNN wants Rudy to be the Republican nominee. The MSM, including Fox News, wants Rudy to be the guy. Fox News wants Rudy to be the guy for a different reason then CNN and the MSM, IMHO that is.
Fox Loves Rudy!!! and is totally in the tank for him. CNN,MSNBC,ABC,NBC,CBS ETC ETC want Rudy to be the guy because they are ready to let him have it once he is the guy. MSM is keeping their powder dry on Rudy because they really feel he will be easy to take down, so why waste it now.
All they have to say is this...here is a guy that says he is pro abortion, pro gay rights, pro gun control, pro stem cell research etc etc, but has told the Christian right, if you vote for me I will appoint judges that go against all my deep held beliefs.
Here is a guy that will do or say anything to be elected, even if it means appointing judges that will rule against what he believes in.
Democrats/MSM will make the election entirely about the supreme court. Rudy is supposed to be able to carry some blue states that a decent God fearing Republican could not. This is the big lie!!! Democrats/MSM will say if you vote for Rudy, women will lose their right to have abortions, homosexuals will have no rights either. So you see,Rudy will not carry the blue states and he will only keep the base away.
He is a good for nothing.
There are no good polls, they all have an agenda. From Gallup to Fox news, they are all bias.
Isn’t FL where all the NY snowbirds go to? Any mention of that factor?
Speaking of Florida. Jeb Bush if not for the possible Bush Fatigue factor he would be the best candidate we could field. He has Romney’s smarts, his brothers guts and determination, pro life stance and a good record as governor of Florida which is a state we have to win.
Jeb would be a great candidate if things were different.

Good point. All of the libs from MA, NY, NJ, CT jump over the Berlin Wall to go down there because it was a warm and free country. Then they vote for the same liberal, big Gubmint douchebags they did back north. Afterwards, they sit around with their palms in the air and wonder why the great State that they moved to looks just like the sinkhole they left.
Agree on Jeb - smartest of the clan. He’s only 55 or so..
I’d love to see where Paul’s 3%, Hunter’s 1% and Tancredo’s 1% would go if they gracefully bowed out, as they should. It might make help sort out the field.
Jeb Bush is my favorite non-candidate. I doubt if we will ever get a chance to see how he would do.
You’re right. Florida is in the South ... but Florida is not representative of the South. Well, maybe the panhandle nearer Alabama and Georgia are more Southern, but the rest of the state has been overtaken by Yankees.
I don’t see how this could be. Giuliani is more liberal on most issues than Bill Clinton and Al Gore, and as Liberal as Hillary on some issues.
How in in the hell could this man be ahead in a Republican primary?!? If he wins it will mean that he’s either the most brilliant politician on earth, more brilliant than algore, who has successfully made the weather a political issue for socialists, or the republicans have finally decided that if it’s that hard to beat them(democrats) they might as well join’em.
Heaven help us....
You're quite right. The media will have a very easy time depressing the conservative republican base next year if Giuliani is the nominee. It was fairly easy for them to do in 2006 just from the Mark Foley matter and some perceived corruption issues. Hell, Hillary might even be able to deceitfully run to Giuliani's right on a couple of issues, given his record in NYC, and that's just sad for a republican nominee if Hillary could even try to run to their right on anything.
Yep...Unlike his father and brother, Jeb is articulate.
It would be an interesting situation if W were leaving office with a level of popularity like Reagan. In that case, would Jeb be able to coast along on his brother's coattails like his father did on Reagan's --- or would Americans' natural aversion to monarchy be too much to overcome?
In any case, I expect Jeb to be a hot commodity for the GOP in the 2010's.
I’d love to see Jeb in the Senate!
Maybe we should pull him out of the hat!!
I think Bush Fatigue trumps Clinton Fatigue.
John
The poll, involving telephone interviews with 300 likely Florida Republican presidential primary voters, was conducted November 25-26. The poll’s margin of sampling error was plus or minus 5.5 percentage points.
I think Mitt is the best guy but he can’t beat Hillary.
Reason being is that he is not tough enough to fight the media which will make no bones about who they are for this time around. They won’t even try to hide it this time.
John
