I consider my dogs to be the equivalent of firearms. They are there to protect my family.

That’s right. Equivalent to firearms. And would you use your firearms against landscapers who showed up to do a job you contracted them to do?

Yep...my wife and I have a hound/lab/rottie mix. He's certainly protective, until he sees the person coming in through the door...then the dog just wants to play!

But, thankfully, his bark is probably ferocious enough to keep most people at bay.

I'm not sure how he would react if my wife or I were to be attacked by someone and he was around. He certainly doesn't mind when my wife and I get cuddly with each other around him...he usually just sits there looking sad that we're not giving him any attention.
