They really need to start with sharp objects like pointed sticks, then work their way up to more dangerous items like 16-ton weights. After that they can worry about things like salt and loganberries.

If lefties were consistent, they'd oppose the use of sea salt on the basis that it depletes the ocean of a necessary mineral, and that desalination of the ocean could cause the extinction of half the species on Earth.

This whole thing about hypertension and kidney disease is just a sideshow.

I say the start with asparagus, that stuff is just plain evil and dangerous. Then maybe go after French style string beans...

A lot of us correctly predicted during the tobacco lawsuits that fatty food would be next.

I would not have predicted anyone would be going after salt, and would have dismissed any such prediction as just plain silly.

I guess nothing's too silly for someone to propose anymore.

We estimate that it is probably responsible for around 25 per cent to 30 per cent of the burden of cardiovascular disease, so that's really very significant," he said.

The other 75% of heart attacks are caused by reading reports from the Center For Science In The Public Interest.

Cancer is correlated with working nightshift. They didn’t say if graveyard shift is more dangerous than swingshift.

The opening of the American West had to wait until a salt deposit was found in Kentucky.

Hey, you folks are joking,

but what do you think the Hitlerian crew pushing for nationalized healthcare will do when you don’t have any other options for healthcare?

They’re going to regulate EVERY aspect of your life with the threat that you won’t get medical treatment unless you comply.
