Osama bin Laden issues European diktat

Last Updated: 2:54am GMT 30/11/2007

Osama bin Laden: responsible for the September 11 attacks

Osama bin Laden last night urged European countries to leave Afghanistan and reiterated that he had presided over the September 11 attacks.

In a new audio recording aired last night, the leader of al-Qa'eda said the US had "insisted on invading" Afghanistan even though it knew that the Afghans were not behind the attacks, and that "Europe walked behind it". "The American tide is ebbing," he said in a message addressed to the European public. "It is better for you to restrain your politicians who are thronging the steps of the White House."

By following the US to Afghanistan, Europe could only be a "subordinate" to Washington, he said.

Bin Laden added: "The truth, as I said before, is that the Manhattan events were in retaliation for the killing of our kinfolk in Palestine and Lebanon by the US-Israeli alliance and that I am responsible for them.

"I affirm that the Afghans - government and people - had no knowledge whatsoever of these events and America knows that."

The message, his fifth this year, came as Britain and America face shortfalls in combat support and equipment from many of their Nato partners in Afghanistan.

A spokesman from the US State Department dismissed the statement as "not a new tactic".

"I affirm that the Afghans - and US government and people - had no knowledge whatsoever of these events and a portion of America knows that."

Slight redaction and addition.

So let me try to follow his logic, The Taliban had nothing to do with Al Queda’s attacks, but for some reason Al Queda is supporting the Taliban and predicting the Taliban will defeat us. I guess Osama is so concerned about the Taliban just on “general principle”.

Alright, so how do the Islamic types continue to say Americans and Jews did this to ourselves when Bin Laden is out all over the place saying he did it?

While at it, where is the religion of peace’s Fatwa or Jihad against radical Islam and Osama Bin Laden?

Silence tells me they are with the terrorist faction far more than with the civilized world.

Nice media non sequitor trying to make it look like Bin Laden's statement is part of a (nonexistent) victory over America.

Ahhh, the Taliban had taken over Afghanistan, turned it back to the middle ages, or further back, trained his barbarians there, lived there - and we weren't suppose to go there? Truth is Binny, we know it wasn't the Afghanis = thats why we went to help them get rid of YOU - and get back into at least the 20th century. And if you're so concerned about the Afghanis - get to he*L out of the Kunar in the northeast, and the southern provinces.

This is little more than a ruse to turn the Afghanis against us.

Nice of you, tho' to again take credit for 9/11

Nor can I.

This angry nutcase needs a home base and is probably tired of the caves he has to crawl around in...but then cowards cannot walk out in the open.

These slobs that promise virgins to their recruits (lol) continuously show the weakness of their faith by having to resort to such creepy lures. Can't believe how sexually repressed the terrorists are...one wonders if their society is simply a showcase of their own lack of manliness. In every way.

Their suppression and women evidences a tremendous lack of faith in themselves and a fear of a joyous life.

And the fact that they even use CHILDREN, strapping BOMBS on them and then forcing them to committ suicide, paying off mom and dad after the fact speaks to a sickness so perverted it smacks of satanism. Talk about genuinely psycho. Any God that has to use bribes and cruelty and who promotes the very cowardly act of killing the unarmed and unsuspecting is surely a man-made icon.

osama bin pigpen must REALLY MISS the taliban. Poor baby.

Osama, you made the same mistake Hitler did. You declared war on America. Give Adolf our regards when you see him in Hell.

When ObL fled the Sudan, his al-quaida took refuge in Afghanistan, he bought protection from the Taliban. He bankrolled them and they became the dominant force in Afghanistan. He paid for the importation and training of foreign recruits.

In exchange, the Taliban protected ObL. Strictly speaking, al-quaida and Taliban are not the same thing ... The US cracked down on the Taliban because they were harboring ObL. It might be said that ObL bankrolled them, but cost them Afghanistan.
