The cruel "sport" of horse fighting has been outlawed almost worldwide

In other news, Michael Vick has a new venture for his close friends and colleagues.

Another reason to boycott anything Chinese. To abuse horses like this takes a special breed (no pun intended) of savagery.

I don’t want to hear about the Chinese watching horse fights. A generation or two ago they were eating the flesh of people who were deemed to be enemies of communism and Chairman Mao, and we hardly heard a peep.

Vick will want a junket to China to bet with the Chinese on this sick display, once he gets out of course.

A historian wrote something to the effect that China was the only civilization in history that made the decision to live by only by reason, without God or gods.

Would be hilarious if David Gregory covered this story.

Did you ever think, when you eat Chinese
It ain’t pork or chicken but a fat siamese?
Yet the food tastes great, so you don’t complain.
But that’s not chicken in your chicken chow mein.
Seems to me I ordered sweet-and-sour pork
But Garfield’s on my fork.
He’s purrin’ here on my fork.

...

There’s a cat in the kettle at the Peking Moon
The place that I eat every day at noon.
They can feed you cat and you’ll never know
Once they wrap it up in dough, boys:
They fry it real crisp in dough.

...

Chou Lin asked if I wanted more
As he was dialin’ up his buddy at the old pet store.
I said “Not today. I lost my appetite.
“There’s two cats in my belly and they want to fight.”
I was suckin’ on a Rolaid and a Tums or two
When I swear I heard it mew, boys:
And that is when I knew...

...

There’s a cat in the kettle at the Peking Moon
I think I gotta stop eatin’ there at noon.
They say that it’s beef or fish or pork
But it’s purrin’ there on my fork.
There’s a hair-ball on my fork.

How vile. I suppose some in the international “community” will condemn this, while for decades they have been silent about human rights violations, as you say.

Meanwhile Americans are told our culture is coarse and violent and we should not judge others.

I boycott them. I refuse to buy anything with a made in China label. Sometimes I have to really look for it. My 8 yr old daughter just asked her teacher why the crayons have made in China on them. I would refuse to go to that sickening country filled with bird flu to compete in the Olympics too. There is nothing that I see redeeming about China. They want to poison us. China disgusts me. I wasn't aware of the horse fighting until now. They are a barbaric & sickening country.

Disgusting. I have no sympathy for PETA or their lunacies, but tormenting animals - dogs, horses, bulls, whatever - for amusement is vile. People who enjoy the spectacle of animals being abused and tortured show an inability to empathize with or acknowledge the suffering of others - and for some it may only be a matter of time before they graduate to enjoying the torment and sufferings of their fellow humans.

Chill, people! Horse fighting, or we military buffs refer to it "Cavalry Charges" have been around for thousands of years. More horses than men died in these battles. 475 horses were killed and 42 wounded out of 673 in the Charge of the Light Brigade.
