I heard that they tie up dogs and beat them to death before eating them. Not hard to believe As opposed to chickens, beef, fish, and pigs which we kill in a much kinder and gentler way, before eating them - except lobster, which we boil alive.

You often hear it said that people who abuse animals when they are younger often grow up to be child abusers and violence prone adults.

What does it say about an entire culture, a huge country where abusing animals is an integral part of their culture and for which they show not the least sense of guilt or shame. Chinese quack medicine is in the process of financing the elimination of virtually every endangered animal species in Asia. Cats, Dogs, Bears, turtles etc are routinely treated in a barbaric manner without a second thought.
When people in San Francisco dared to question some of the cruel and barbaric treatment of live animals in the China Town food markets they were attacked as racists trying to destroy Chinese culture.
I actually saw a Chinese government official justifying the killing of a particular species of mammals that were near extinction by saying that; when it came to the health of our children and some animal, we choose the health of our children.
If China eventually achieves the military power they seek, they will show us even less mercy than they do their animals.

I don’t doubt it. I am starting to have a problem eating their food now too. We went behind the local Chinese takeout last year to cut to the other shopping center & the worker was cleaning a wok out with dirty filthy snow. I have no clue why...I just find them to be disgusting. When I worked at a casino in Atlantic City the Asian men would spit on the carpets. Many of the people who come right from China were rude, gross germy people. I don’t know if thats their normal behavior. However I’ve met many that were American born who I like very much.

Cats are scalded so that their skins cook and easily peel off. THis is done while the cat is still alive. It is believed this enhances the flavor of the meat.
