All good points. But I believe the laws need to be changed. It should not be up to a judge to determine who does what.
I would not even care about the “different cities” argument. Why should government be able to tell any person where they can and cannot live? And to say the siblings would not see each other may or may not be true.
Bottom line: People should know - before they have children together - what will happen if they get divorced. That way, it puts the entire burden on them. The more we can get government out of it, the better.
I know it will never happen, but that is the best solution. Especially when it comes to the dads. Typically, the dads get a car, the street, no primary custodial childcare, and support payments. It is not wonder so many of the dads - especially in the wacky, liberal society in which we live - end up very bitter about this. Where is the fairness in that?
