From AP: “the picture of calm in the face of crisis”.

Give Me A Break!! This is what dems — and Hillary — consider a CRISIS???

How much “leadership” and “courage” does it take to stay calm when she was in Virginia, what, 1000 miles away from the scene, and she STILL cancelled her scheduled appearance? Move over, John Wayne!

And let’s not forget the universal criticism from the dems on 9/11 when Bush didn’t immediately fly back to DC into the middle of the attack.

Well, with her staff hostage, I’d expect her to cancel all appearances..It’s just that all the rest of this puffery is absurd.

I hesitate to post another article on this topic, but this column from the Boston Herald (via Drudge) leads me to the believe that the hostage "crisis" was extended way beyond a reasonable time limit. The culprit's son offered to go in a extract his drunken dad, and told them that all he had was road flares.

IMHO, the event was extended so as to increase the visibility of the Clinton Campaign. I suspect that Hillary was on the phone to all of the authorities warning them not to end it too soon or there would be hell to pay.

As this whole sorry episode played itself out you knew the MSM would make her look like Joan of Arc, In reality she did nothing to cause this out come. What a bunch of BS. The thought of Hillary and Bill being in the White House makes me ill.

What pitiful buffoons. Could the AP writer and Sabato plant their heads any more firmly in Shrillery's backside? She did not DO anything except pester law enforcement all afternoon from her cozy living room. BFD. Do we need a CiC who suffers such "bewilderment, confusion..." for even such a relatively small crisis??? (not small to the people caught in that office and their families, but certainly small on the scale of international crises).

Gee, it must have brought back memories "as a mother" of when Chelsea was jogging right past the WTC on 9/11 and the horror Shrillery felt then "as a mother"..... OH, WAIT, Shrillery just made up the story about Chelses and the WTC, but we never did see her raked over the coals in the MSM for that fabrication, did we?

"it was just a horrible sense of bewilderment, confusion, outrage, frustration, anger, everything at the same time"

Expect more theatre and theatrics from Clinton Plantation Inc. and their Hollywood Connection, with matching raving reviews by the MSM, in order to boost her “tough and cool” image.
She could be the new Steve McQueen...

Per AP: When the hostages had been released and their alleged captor arrested, a regal-looking Hillary Rodham Clinton strolled out of her Washington home, the picture of calm in the face of crisis.

The image, broadcast just as the network news began, conveyed the message a thousand town hall meetings and campaign commercials strive for - namely, that the Democratic presidential contender can face disorder in a most orderly manner.

Just imagine how this piece might've read if it had been, for example, a Mitt Romney HQ.

Or, for that matter, a Joe Biden HQ.

It says a lot about a candidate when people suspect their every motive—and even among registered (D) voters many distrust the candidate and doubt their religious sincerity.
