Putin's party wins landslide victory

PRESIDENT Vladimir Putin's United Russia party won a landslide in the overnight parliamentary election with 61 per cent of the vote, according to an exit poll from the All-Russian Centre for the Study of Public Opinion.

The exit poll forecast three pro-Kremlin parties - United Russia, A Just Russia, and the Liberal Democratic Party - would enter the State Duma with a collective 86.3 per cent of the vote.
