thank you so much. i’m tearing up with all of the amazing comments. words cannot explain how thankful i am. josh had called me the day after his injury and told me that his biggest worry, after all that had just happened, was that i was going to leave him. so i bought a ring, wrote a speech, and got down on one knee. i stayed at his bedside and did everything that needed to be done. as a nursing student, i know how to take care of him. i plan on transfering to a school in san antonio so that i can be with him. i’m kinda nervous though, this is my first move away from home.

Free Republic is quite a good environment, with some threads routinely producing tears.

Moving away for the first time can be a bit scary. At least you are not alone, you have your wonderful husband to ease your fears.

Good luck on your future in nursing, but most importantly on your future with your new husband.

BG and Nana, come meet Brandi, and read her very special story!

Brandi, I think most of us would agree it’s not unusual to feel a bit of nervousness. Maybe you can find a church family there to help ease you through the transition, and there will be new friends awaiting at the new school too.

You will find a lot of good folks here at FR who will be praying for you and Josh.

Brandi, our dear darling new member, don’t you get it yet? You now have a huge family that you can take with you wherever you go! LOL! You are one of us now and you will never need to feel alone or nervous. This huge FreeRepublic family will be here for you.

I’d type more but right now my screen seems awfully blurry.
Much love to you and Josh!

PS: Free Republic is about the BEST FAMILY you could ask for if you can’t be at home.

There are “Freepers” in San Antone that I KNOW would be happy to help you out finding a place, job etc.

FREEPERS take care of each other.
Just look for the Texas location and send some emails to them...
