The President and the First Lady spent the weekend in Washington attending St John's as usual on Sunday. Though he did not attend the Army v Navy Football game on Saturday there were several cardboard cut outs of the President there to cheer on the participants.
On Sunday evening both the President and Vice President attended the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington. Today the President spoke in the Rose Garden about what should be Congress's Legislative Priorities for the Remainder of the Year.
He also met with U.S.-Palestinian Public-Private Partnership group at the White House.
Today the President Bush and first lady Laura Bush watched a performance of "A Christmas Carol" during a holiday reception for children in the East Room of the White House.
Today the Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice met a delegation from Defenders of Freedom of Republic of Belarus at the State Department and also addressed the Aspen Institute in Washington.
Secretary of Defense Robert Gates is in Djibouti.

Thank You Snugs! The toaster is perfect! Merry Christmas to you and your Dad! :)
Yes, I did. Three times. Maybe it was overused at the time.
I’ll check it out again. I know it’s got to be a good one!
Where to start? I love the photo of the day, the second shot. And I also love the introduction the president gave to the little tykes.
The tree in the blue room is gorgeous and as we discussed before, Laura's gown is understated elegance. Remember last year how her Christmas dress got duplicated and someone showed up with the same gown at the Kennedy Center. Guess this did not happen this year or we would have heard about it. Wonder if her gown is by Oscar dalaRenta?
I continue to be impressed by Sec. Gates. I really think he is trying his best. Rummy's shoes were tough to fill; he has/had many loyal followers and admirerers.
If you follow the link to the Christmas celebrations at the White House you can down load the booklet about them to a PDF file.
I love some of the illustrations have they been personalised to include India (Willie) and the dogs.
Thanks, I love my second toaster:o)
Thank you, snugs. Football is my favorite!
Thanks snugs, great pics. What a beautiful First Lady!

Aloha and Good Night All
wonderful pictures & Dose tonight ... well, LAST NIGHT... Thank you for the work.
I have never even heard of Dijibouti!!!! guessing it is one of the break off or “change your name” Arican countries.
The White House Children’s party/presentation are always wonderful pix.
Loved the black tie at Kennedy with the recipeints of the American Culture Awards.. the president, VP & wives look wonderful as do the recipients.. Diana Ross always had a flair about her.. the “HAIR”.. dress, just fitting to her & she puts on a wonderful live show if you ever get a chance to see her. She & Tina Turner are fireballs of energy & fun when seen live.
Marty Scorsese’s work is very enjoyable to me. Glad he was awarded this also. Not familar with the pianist but Steve Martin has been around making us laugh a long time. I was not aware of the fact he wrote a book also.
Flag pix are always great..
Thank you for the Dose, Snugs :)
(((((
I gave a birthday party for seven year old boys once = an experience I will never forget! I bet that boy had the seat of honor, because our extremely able President saw that he needed to be minder-in-chief. He really is a genius at reading people.
