“With a 4 point MOE, isnt this essentially a statistical 5-way tie?”
Any one poll is pretty much useless.
What is instructive is the trend line over several polls.
Two trend lines are obvious:
1. Rudy’s a rock.
2. Huck’s a rocket.
“It will also be interesting to watch any Florida polls coming out. If Huckabee continues to surge there, it may be over for the other 2nd place candidates.”
Florida Nov. 27 poll
Giuliani 26 (-7 since 10/19 poll)
Huckabee 17 (+9)
McCain 13 (+4)
Romney 12 (-5)
Thompson 9 (-4)
Paul 3 (na)

Simple reason:
Huckabee has not been a serious candidate, so has not been vetted seriously. Most people do not know about his working to free rapist Dumond, his wanting to close Gitmo, his tax-and-spend record as Governor, and his previous support for DREAM Act in-state tuition for illegals and his lambasting opponents of it as unChristian.
Romney was a more conservative Governor than he was.
Huckabee talks like he’s Mr prolife, but his position is no different from Fred Thompson. Huckabee even was on the side of watering down the 1996 platform. Thompson has done more for prolife and done more for tax reform than he has in 10 years as a tax-and-spend RINO Gov.
This leaves aside his pandering to unions, his support for cap-and-trade CO2, etc. Frankly, he’s a much bigger RINO than the other so-called RINOs, Romney, McCain, and certainly not as conservative as Thompson.
So a populist southern Baptist. How is that different from Carter or Clinton?
And when the GOP primary voters get to know the real Huckabee, would they still have the same view? I think not.
What I’ve been hoping for. I think more people are now paying attention to the primary candidates, and many don’t like what they see in the poll leaders to now.
More shifting as the voters really examine the candidates and review their positions on key issues.
1) You can have to repair the roads that Clinton left in piss poor shape
2) You can have to account for rises in medical expenditures that Clinton did not have to deal with
—
All things said he made difficult decisions and did cut first, then raise for what was core to the budget. The man cut state scholership spending does that seem clintonesq to you?
1. Rudys a rock.
2. Hucks a rocket.
3. Romney is dropping a bit more slowly.
4. Thompson seems to have halted the steady slide and recovered a bit.
Really, you said wow?
He didn’t answer the questions in depth. He had a bunch of canned one-liners designed to get sound bites on the news. But, then again, I expect nothing less of a AR Governor. Put he and Romney together and the ‘eww’ factor goes through the roof.
I don’t want slick, dammit. I want substance!
Give him 500cc of ringer's lactate and transport as soon as possible.
“his tax-and-spend record as Governor”
When you have to lie to slam a man it says something. He did raise taxes but he cut budget items first *then* raised taxes. He could have pulled a Pawlenty and waited until a major piece of infrastructure collapsed before raising the gas tax, maybe then he would have creds right?
Me too. I have no intention of voting him in the primary, in the general, he would have my 100% support.
But yes, I thought he made a great presentation the other night, and like it or not, in politics, presentation is as important, if not more important than the message itself.
The two worst at the top...........sheesh!
“For different reasons, the MSM and the GOP power brokers do not want a full fledged conservative like Fred to get the nomination.”
WINNER!!
That's because the DUmmies love to see politicians rip off the fat cats. Of course, fat cats defined by DUmmies are people with jobs who pay taxes, and includes most anyone not living off their mother's SS check, residing in her basement.
On that point we disagree.
I cannot and will not vote for an ordained minister of any faith to hold public office.
A minister running for office is a man who has either abandoned his calling, or who professed a callng that was not true. Either way, that is a man I cannot trust.
As people are finding out the truth instead of the myth Rudy is dropping like a stone. Hopefully, the same will happen to the Huckster.

is Fred coming to the next debate? i missed him in the last one.
The people who responded to this poll must have been high.
In Iowa looks like Mitt Boy’s multi-million dollar ad spending spree is getting bested by the Huckster`s $330K ad budget.
If I was you, I’d stop drinking the bong water.
